Description: Glad to finally release my first mod / port to the community. This would be of coarse the M1A1 MBT. This is a Arma 2 port with a little extra work. Newest update has the M1A2 included. Installation: Extract into the ArmA 3 Directory, by default this is located in: 32-Bit - C:\Program Files\Steam/Steamapps\Common\ArmA 3\ 64-Bit - C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam/Steamapps\Common\ArmA 3\ After extraction it should look like this: Steam\Steamapps\Common\ArmA 3\@your_mod_folder_name\addons\ You can also use the "Arma 3 Alpha" folder in your "My Documents" folder. Your folder setup could than look like for example this: mydocuments\Arma3 Alpha\@your_mod_folder_name1\addons\ mydocuments\Arma3 Alpha\@your_mod_folder_name2\addons\ mydocuments\Arma3 Alpha\@your_mod_folder_name2\addons\ When present place the "userconfig" folder into your game install folder, usually: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Arma 3". You may already have "userconfig" folder from other addons and/or mods in which case it is safe to merge the contents from this archive. You'll also need to add a Launch Parameter to Steam, in order to do so right-click on ArmA 3 Alpha and click Properties and then Set Launch Options. In the window that opens enter in -mod=@your_mod_folder_name For using multiple mods you would then do so like this: -mod=@mod_name;@mod_name2;@mod_name3;@mod_name4;@mod_name5 Note: You can also use -nosplash to get rid of the splash art and intro videos. And of course you can also enable and disable community made addons and mods through the in-game Options Expansions menu if you do not want to mess with startup parameters! only one thing gunner mg has no ammo.
The primary gun works fine, and the vehicle's movement mechanics are perfect. But the coaxial m240 has no ammo, and the commander seat M2 has a very slow fire rate. And the chain link [the belt holding all of the rounds together and feeds the rounds to the gun] ejects to the left side of the ammo box. But other than that, these are very awesome and are still quite usable in missions. Have a request of a desert variation with no Australian 'roo on it. [I'm Australian, but I do like to have a switch to the U.S Army now and then :-)]
Finally, but mind you add the M1A2 too? and possibly make a M1A3?
all i need to say pick the rate of fire on m2 up add 240 ammo and its good
very nice beast of war, but M2 machine gun has very slow rate of fire, and working classnames for ammunition would be nice.
V1.6 will be out soon with alot of fix's.
With v 1.6 will there be any upgrade of textures/detail although these tanks are very welcome(Thank you). they look very Arma 1 old and tired .

Only A Tan texture that doesn't have the Aussy stuff on it.
Anyone else getting a missing CA weapons warning on a dedicated server? Works well on single player (except the issues as noted above), but throws errors on a dedicated mp server. Do we need CBA with this to avoid the error?
Also, the tan tanks are really a bit too tan, even for the Takistan maps. Any chance on turning it down a notch to match vanilla A3 cammo? Oh, and the red kangaroo? Probably needs to be black; some of our guys are using it as an aiming point.

Is it just me or this tank is doing 1 hit kills on the T 100 and the Merkava (M2A1 or something like that)?
Could you please Port the M1A2 to arma 3? It would help a lot since realistically its gonna be used until beyond 2050.
Also could you make the M1A3 please?
Could you edit the muzzle flash from the cannon, I feel like it doesn't need to flash for like 2 seconds. Hard to scan with thermal when you shoot.
