Description: This is another port i made from the Sample Models, with minor modifications of my own. I've had this in the works for a long time, mostly because i got busy with other projects and for some technical problems i had a hard time solving. There are some features i meant to implement (dampers, decent MFD, reworked interiors) but that would take even MORE time and i don't feel like keeping this for myself any longer. Some of you will be pissed because of the aircraft loadouts i guess but i think the current loadout is balanced enough, they are fun enough without giving pilots god-like firepower that can obliterate whole AOs on their own. As for the cockpit, as i mentioned earlier i meant to rework it because it's mid-low detail right now but that might take some time and i still have to get the hang of it, also there is the huge limit of PiP that doesn't allow much customization and doesn't have enough detail to be an effective navigation tool (i'll be leaving links to feed tracker tickets if you want to help out). Good news is, i did some minor tweaks i'm really satisfied with, especially collision lights and materials/textures. They still have all the STOVL features from A2 and can take off and land safely on the LHD, i'm pretty sure that is also true for the Nimitz. Feel free to provide feedback and i'll see what i can do to make this better. Have a nice day! Installation: Extract into the ArmA 3 Directory, by default this is located in: 32-Bit - C:\Program Files\Steam/Steamapps\Common\ArmA 3\ 64-Bit - C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam/Steamapps\Common\ArmA 3\ After extraction it should look like this: Steam\Steamapps\Common\ArmA 3\@your_mod_folder_name\addons\ You can also use the "Arma 3 Alpha" folder in your "My Documents" folder. Your folder setup could than look like for example this: mydocuments\Arma3 Alpha\@your_mod_folder_name1\addons\ mydocuments\Arma3 Alpha\@your_mod_folder_name2\addons\ mydocuments\Arma3 Alpha\@your_mod_folder_name2\addons\ When present place the "userconfig" folder into your game install folder, usually: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Arma 3". You may already have "userconfig" folder from other addons and/or mods in which case it is safe to merge the contents from this archive. You'll also need to add a Launch Parameter to Steam, in order to do so right-click on ArmA 3 Alpha and click Properties and then Set Launch Options. In the window that opens enter in -mod=@your_mod_folder_name For using multiple mods you would then do so like this: -mod=@mod_name;@mod_name2;@mod_name3;@mod_name4;@mod_name5 Note: You can also use -nosplash to get rid of the splash art and intro videos. And of course you can also enable and disable community made addons and mods through the in-game Options Expansions menu if you do not want to mess with startup parameters! When the above information still does not provide you with enough to learn how to install custom addons and mods you can always ask in our Guide On Installing Mods. I was hoping for a fix, it's weird because your other mods work perfectly with AIA.
I can't fix something that ain't broken, and sure as hell i'm not going to brake it for everybody else just so it's compatible with AiA.
Sorry, but it is just not going to happen.
have a nice day!
What could be done differently compared to your other mods ? Like I said, your other ports work just fine with AIA.
Solid solid mod. Love it. 4.5/5
Thanks for the mod and congratulations dude for your effort, only one thing wen try to take off by auto hovering does not hover like the F35B that is also a hover jet, can you fix this? also the cockpit does not look illuminated and animated, thanks.
The hovering works as intended, the harrier can't take off veritcally with combat load.
Everything in the cockpit should be animated (gauges should all work correctly), illumination is very WIP so you'll have to be patient :P
Hi, just popped in to say that this mod is awesome for the Machinima that me and a few friends are working on. However my Marine friend and I were disappointed about the hovering abilities of the Harrier. Even with no load, it's very difficult to VTO without moving forward. Another issue is placing them in editor. In editor we had to raise them a bit in order to get them to rest correctly on their wheels. If you could just adjust these values a tad and give us permission to use your mod, that would not only be great, but wonderful.
Thank you so much!
It's STOVL, so it's normal it doesn't take off vertically.
The game has no way to adjust weight depending on the load, it always assumes it's fully loaded, in which case it cannot take off vertically.
The editor makes them clip with the ground a bit because the simulation doesn't start properly, don't ask me why because i don't know, i guess it's just the way the game engine works. Shooting at them once or getting in and starting the engine should fix it.
If it's just for videos and such sure, go on, no problem.
Regards
Chairborne have you thought of doing a Service Menu for a personalized load-out to certain missions?
I did, actually.
Here's the full release message, and why the loadout editor is not in there yet.

Works and sounds great with the new sound sets...awesome addon--thanks a million Chairborne!
I love plonking one of these on a rough airstrip and then seeing the AI taxi it and take off right over your head.Awesome!
I'm having trouble getting these class names to work.. I've added a lot of mods and the rest are working, so I'm not sure if I'm screwing something simple up or what. I'm trying to add them to the vehicle builder in the liberation mod. I have RHS vehicles and loads of others working, but I can't get this one to show up, no matter what I do.
:/
i have no idea what liberation mod is, nor i can't solve your problems for you. if you come back with something more reliable for me to fix then we're in business (because as far as i can see on my end everything is fine), until then it's your problem. merry Christmas!
