This is the release note accompanying the October 2014 Make Arma Not War RHS: Escalation entry. The mod consists of two modules:
Armed Forces Of The Russian Federation and
United States Armed Forces.
Both RHS: AFRF and RHS: USAF for Arma 3 combined into one large download.

Important note:
The RHS: Escalation version is still at version 0.3.5. If you want to be able to use the latest version of their work please download the seperate versions!

Extract into the ArmA 3 Directory, by default this is located in:
32-Bit - C:\Program Files\Steam/Steamapps\Common\ArmA 3\
64-Bit - C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam/Steamapps\Common\ArmA 3\
After extraction it should look like this:
Steam\Steamapps\Common\ArmA 3\@your_mod_folder_name\addons\
You can also use the "Arma 3 Alpha" folder in your "My Documents" folder. Your folder setup could than look like for example this:
mydocuments\Arma3 Alpha\@your_mod_folder_name1\addons\
mydocuments\Arma3 Alpha\@your_mod_folder_name2\addons\
mydocuments\Arma3 Alpha\@your_mod_folder_name2\addons\
When present place the "userconfig" folder into your game install folder, usually:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Arma 3".
You may already have "userconfig" folder from other addons and/or mods in which case it is safe to merge the contents from this archive.
You'll also need to add a Launch Parameter to Steam, in order to do so right-click on ArmA 3 Alpha and click Properties and then Set Launch Options. In the window that opens enter in -mod=@your_mod_folder_name
For using multiple mods you would then do so like this:
-mod=@mod_name;@mod_name2;@mod_name3;@mod_name4;@mod_name5
Note:
You can also use -nosplash to get rid of the splash art and intro videos.
And of course you can also enable and disable community made addons and mods through the in-game Options Expansions menu if you do not want to mess with startup parameters!

This is just the beginning! As you might already know, RHS Evolution development will not stop with MANW competition, we will build on it in order to polish the existing, add new content and features!
- Further optimization: Especially for the US side, some of the vehicles will receive more resolution lods.It will come in future builds, or even as hotfixes. Rest assured though that with hundreds of hours of testing we have yet to receive a performance drop complaint.
- Commercial logos on weapons and equipment. For the sake of avoiding complications in the legal department we decided to change those on the US side with our own. This was mostly to do with MANW. In the near future we will change it back for the sake of authenticity.
- Missions. We ran out of time on this one and are not able to deliver a set of missions that we are confident would reflect the type of quality we would want to deliver. However, may mission makers have had access to our alpha build and have been independently producing missions with our content. Expect to see them shortly. We have also teamed up with the producers of the hugely successful King of the Hill game mode to produce a special version of KOTH. It will also go live just a little after the MANW submissions close.
- Bugs squashing. As we were adding new content almost to the last day before release, there might still be some left. We had a large group of dedicated players testing around our stuff for almost a month and were able to polish a lot of errors in time for MANW. If you encounter any sort of pesky bugs (although you really shouldn’t), please let us know as fast as possible.
- Functionality. In future development builds every piece of equipment will be useable to some degree or another. For now, some of the things that were originally envisioned to have a little more functionality are simply for eye candy. A good example of this are the radars that come along with the pack.
- Content and features - while we don’t want to disclose anything at this very moment, we can safely say there is a lot of work that is going on behind the curtains that we haven’t had the chance to finish in time for MANW, but it is still obviously planned to be implemented into future builds.

i am having an issue with the bradley ifv i can not use the main gun just the coax machine gun and the missiles
Why is there no night-vision?
Why are combat medics available for the US side, but not included in the rifle squads?
Very good mod, cannot say that enough. I do have some issues myself though. The weapons for the Russian faction aren't really up to par for me (Check out the HLC AK mod)and you cant mount flashlights on any of the guns for either faction. Another issue for me that isn't really a big deal is that the HUMVEE's for the US are all unarmed. Next I would say the vehicle selection for the Russian faction is vastly superior to the vehicle selection for the US forces. Other than those issues everything else is great, especially the vehicles. Their interiors are amazing and the attention to detail is great.
When I have both the russian and american armed forces enabled at the same time my game freezes when I attempt to start a new lobby? It doesn't happen if I have either of them disabled, but as soon as they're both enabled it freezes up when doing that.
The Btr 80's are really weak the glass wont stop a 9mml the vic the is retarded 12 bullets and its yellow the tires might ass well not exist other than that 10/10 best mod ive downloaded
I am having the bradley issue aswell, however AI seems to be able to shoot the main gun.
But still a very high quality mod. Awesome work.
I've just started having issues with the Mi-24 variants. Both grey and camo ones lose all their fuel as soon as the engine is turned on. I know they worked before, So I'm not sure what the problem is.
Great mod! The only thing it needs now are some more USMC units. Can't wait to see whats next!
