With this (first) release I share two tiny scripts that will enable mission makers to easily establish 3 dimensional contaminated zones in your missions. While being inside that zone you will receive damage if not wearing one of the gasmasks (M50,M40 and M40OD) from cunico´s beautiful hidden identities pack V2). Nothing big, but quite powerful.
I scripted it because I really liked the idea of gasmasks, but they aren´t of any use without scripts. So if you wear that mask you will hear a breathing sound (which can and to be honest should be kind of annoying), but you won´t get hurt inside conta zones.
There is more to come from the survival mod I´m currently working on, but not sure if I will ever release it.
g&c is only one of many scripts and features.
Installation / Usage:
Take a look at the sample mission or copy the included folder "rick_survival" to your mission folder.
Setting up contamination zones:
place invisible helipad (or whatever object) in the editor and put this in its init line:
null = [this, 100, 80, 10] execVM "rick_survival\rick_contamination.sqf";The arguments are : centerobject, radius of zone, height of zone, time ´till damage
Setting up gasmask breathe for certain unit:
null = [this] execVM "rick_survival\rick_mask_breathe.sqf";Right now contamination zones will only effect playableunits.
I plan on adding more to this mod including cars/trucks.
MP compatible as far as i was able to test it!
