I'm releasing this in it's current state as a test to see if I'm going in the right direction. So, if any of you folks have got 30 minutes to spare, give it a spin and tell me what I'm doing wrong! I'd be particularly interested to hear if ANY of the functionality works in MP, because 'Billy No Mates' here has only tested it in single player. Locality in multiplay is still a dark art to me. thank's cleggy been waiting for this one good to see you made it to A3
looks great opening hatch at the rear is a nice touch, model and textures better than average port, minor bug with rear view camera sticking in rear view unable to switch back. would be better if able to carry units inside only able to get in driver front seat passenger and 2 gunner positions . + I nearly forgot, the burst tyre animation is super cool
better than A3 . well worth downloading thanks
Excellant

Thanks for the replies.
@Arma Elite: I'm interested to know why you can't get in to the passenger seats?
The only way I can reproduce that is if I assign cargo positions to my subordinates before I try and get in.
very weird!
btw, double tap 'm' to leave the rear view camera.
I find that its a bit too slow, other then that its going good
Thanks for the feedback OfficerAMR
Too slow? Maybe. It's a very heavy vehicle to start with and then we Brits
add a mass of extra stuff to it, making it even heavier!
I did try and speed it up a bit but it felt wrong.
This isn't your Special Forces 'Fast Attack Vehicle/Dune Buggy/Armed Skateboard' you know ...
Dear Billy no Mates, I found the passenger seat in this version but lost it again , the Gunner/Commander/Topslot slots seem less critical as to your positioning before getting in , the driver Slot could only be accessed by going to the left hand rear corner . I tested this out with my 4 MATES
we had had similar problems sometimes 3 - 4 or 5 positions showing in scrollwheel. I did not count the passenger seats inside but I saw several. I did not realise that to get the rear view camera was double tap m , silly me . Its still a great mod and I had no multiplayer issues other than above . it should be noted that I seem to remember having problems with vanilla vehicles such as 1 player having to get out so the other can enter. The only thing I did not try was to test too destruction it appeared impervious to damage
apart form the tyres but I'll have another look at that . PS. I hope you have a British sense of Humour .
also its definitely not too slow, and handles well
Thanks for the feedback Arma Elite.
I've never had any trouble getting in or out but I'll have a look at that.
regarding the damage handling - yes, bit of a tricky one - I wanted it to be resistant to RPGs
from the CUP weapons mod but I think the hit value of the RPGs is much to high - so long story short
it also can't be killed by the super future Arma3 weapons either!
Still if your playing a mission what would you prefer a) being killed in the first few minutes by an AI
with an RPG42 or b) surviving to play on in an un-killable but immobile (an therefore useless) vehicle?
Finally, no I have no sense of humour and am therefore deeply offended that you're laughing at me behind my back..
I've testing in the editor/Single player and looks fine. We'll test soon in Coop Mission at Clafghan. Let's see how it works in rough conditions.
Thanks Serafire
Any feedback appreciated.
I'm in the process of updating the textures. Hopefully it will look better when I'm done!
Great work, Cleggy. It works fine in multiplayer with no problems. The vehicle is easy to ride; maybe slower than the Marshall, but it´s ok for a heavy armor vehicle.
The armor beared RPGs (no direct impact i must say), some close explosions from artillery, IEDs and heavy fire from thechnicals and still working with only one or two tyres damaged.
The textures still being poor, but this is a WIP, so we'll wait for the update.
More ammo for the gun should be great.
From now this is one of my favourite vehicles. We'll use as Mobile HQ and recon vehicle. Love it.
PS. Sorry for my english.
Thank you Serafire.
I'm happy that you haven't found any game breaking issues!
And PLEASE do not apologies for your English language skills -
they are excellent!
I am very grateful to you for taking the time and effort to learn English!
Dear Cleggy,
feel free to correct me if I am wrong, but from pictures I have viewed that mastiff or ridgeback has six wheels. Either way your work is great, but I was wondering if the six wheeled ridgeback could be implemented as another variation.
Thanks
Ollie
Hi Ollie
Ridgback has four wheels, Mastiff has six.
I'm not currently working on this as I needed a break, however a number of modding teams now have the source files
so let's hope they produce a Mastiff for us!
Cleggy
Thanks for the information and hope you have a good break. Keep up the good work. :)
