![]() ![]() ArmA Config Parser (ACP)byzooloo75 Description: ArmA Config Parser (ACP) is a highly advanced tool designed to analyze Armed Assault config files in their raw format (.cpp) and extrapolate precise information effectively. With ACP developers can now save hours of time searching classnames, especially in the case of large mods where data is abundant and find precise information that cuts development time down. Originally developed for KetsuCorp's upcoming GEAR modification (General Equipment Addon Release), the software included provided them the edge in listing content data for such an expansive project with over 10,000 classnames. Developed by KetsuCorp. Made for the ArmA Modding Community. Installation: Warning: Exe files can harm your PC! Before running this you should make sure you understand the risks! I'm interested in seeing what this tool can do but I'm confused. So once you have extrapolated the info you were looking for in the config, it displays any line that has that thing you were looking for. Then what do you do with it? I'm not sure what this tool does exactly other than search and display. In text editors, you can do searches. Help!
Wow. Nice work. It'll be much better if the name of inherited parent class is preserved too. Probably we need a user manual for better usage?
I figured there would be some usage confusion, but don't fret, I am working on a larger modding-tool suite, and this tool will be integrated into it.
The primary usage of this tool is for documentation of classes or to generate a readme for others to reference your classes / usage.
For example, in the GEARS mod, KetsuCorp had tons of uniforms and other gear and needed to generate a readme that listed the classnames and display names of all their items. By hand, this would take a VERY long time. With this tool, this task was a breeze.
You can see for yourselves how much time was saved for the GEARS project's documentation -> http://pastebin.com/dX3YFF81
Here's a quote from the project leader himself, "This would have taken days, probably a week or two if i wasn't motivated, your tool got it done in under 4 hours."
