Description: You were sent 30 years back trough time to find and destroy the time machine that CSAT 'army of 12 monkeys' (code name for their bioengineer generals) use to change weather and experiment with time travel. Their HARP research is obsolete and they are trying for couple of years back with new aproach using weather/time devices and their main goal is to send a virus in to the past (year 2045) to destroy the population of Europe. If they succeed they will eradicate in the future almoust all the Europe's population by that new hanta virus made by their army of 12 monkeys. Objective: We have poor intelligence data about the location of their time machine, and we think that they are hiding the device somewhere on the island Makrynisi. You must to find and destroy that time machine before it's to late. Our time travel technology in the year 2075 is very poor so we were able to send you only with limited resources (one primary weapon, mobile base and one tent) so you must to scavenge for all your equipment. The Greek island of Altis was just survived the Civil War in the year of 2045 so lot of equipment was left scattered in civilian and military buildings. Arm yourself and destroy that device before earthquakes rip a part island of Althis. Sitrep: You will be disguised as rebel, because the Greek inhabitans of the Altis island are sympathetic to Greek Liberation Front who fought against CSAT invaders. Some civilians are armed and be aware that they will be hostile to you because they are members of the civilian CSAT militia who are loyal to the new regime. Evade or kill that traitorous scum before they open fire on you. Good luck soldier, and remember that you are on special mission to unmake history by destroying that time machine before CSAT use it to send that new hanta virus to our future or past and kill us all. We couldn't send with you any organic material because the potential risk of mess your DNA so you must to scavenge for food and drink to survive. Features: Random events, spawn player, loot, enemy, custom sounds and music etc. Fully replayable. I found inspiration for this mission in the movie and TV series '12 monkeys', my future plan for update this mission is to add more survival things like hunting and fishing, cooking raw meat like in DayZ except the zombies (thank God no more zombies pls) and everything will be based on low intensity conflict, also will add maybe some sidemissions like to assassinate the 12 monkey officers (research bio engineer offficers) some flu coughing some antibiotcs can be usefull etc. This is probably to huge for me and if some like this mission concept and can help me with this can freely to add that content to the mission... Installation: Extract the .pbo file(s) to your Steam/SteamApps/common/ArmA 3/Missions folder. Media: Notes: This mission is made for every player who like survival type missions and lone wulf strategy. Mission is tested to the end and it's working awesome, except one thing (after save and load survival menu vanish) I hope this will be fixed in the mission update (thanks in advance to Corvobrok), so please play and fedback your impresions. Changelog: v1.1 Credits & thanks: I wish to thank to all the people who made that awesome scripts I used in this mission, many thanks to: Corvobrok, [STELS]Zealot, Champ, Lt. Killer (SAS) and Capt. Killer (SAS). Mission made by me PnK2 aka =A2SM= Petar. Enable javascript to be able to download from Armaholic please! |
Loved your concept, and hope you get some help to implement more advanced saurvival scripts (like you´ve said: hunting, fishing etc) cus there was a mod for fishing (Arma3 Fishing, it was on MANW competition) and TPW mod/scripts add lotsa animals inland... about the missing interface after reloading, there´s a mod called Moduload that may help it still work, I´ll test with it and them feedback ya!
Keep up the great work/idea/mission you now it lol
cheers!
Here´s the 3 mods I´ve talked about (in case you´re unfamiliar with those...)

cheers!
Thanks for quick response... everybody is free to edit, modify or use this mission for the benefit of all the arma comunity, my mission is just an idea, so you can add yourself any content you wish to folow the mission idea concept and implement your work in it, pls do that and we will update the mission together. I played your hunting and fishinf mod and I love it, just want to stay on this Vanila track that everything stay in scripting and stay in vanila (no other mods). I will be grateful if you rework this mission and give it your touch to it...
Moduload didn´t reload the survival script (hunger/thirst) sadly, but there must be a way for it to reload properly on playing a savedgame... but all those mods I´ve pointed out can work as just a script too, so no need to call for a mod, you can incorporate on your mission!
I hope some script wizard (like Killzone Kid) help you put expanding this concept... I advise you to post your mission on BIS foruns, as it is broader and more mature forum than armaholics =)
cheers!
Thanks for advice Corporal_Lib, cheers.
my inventory T doesn't work
Yes, I wrote that... after save and load inventory doesn't work, it will be fixed in mission update.
I think in my case it's a mod. becuase it just works for a few seconds in the beginning that it's not availabla anymore
"T"is not working!!!plz fix it as soon as you can, cuz' I always starve to death!!
Great, you´ve fixed the survival function not reloading after reseting the game, awesome!
Gonna replay it right now
@ShawnJin
Food and drink inventory menu is working now after save and load, dont use 'T' on keyboard, instead just scroll on your mouse and you can get it every time, fully tested at least hundreds of time and working every time 100%.
wow, thank you so much, you are so awesome!!I like the style of your mission, just keep going , I believe you can do much more excellent missions! Maybe you should consider to make a Campaign or something!
Thank you and you are welcome. I am glad that there are people who like this kind of mission like myself.
5/5, no questions asked, really enjoyed playing this. There was some real challenge in times. Didn't find a single bug either. Great ideas and impressive work with them, nice plot twist too. ;) Would really love to get a lot more missions like this, too bad these are so rare...
Thanks for the compliment, I'll try to make more such missions in the future... I'm glad you liked it, cheers.
