Installing your ModsMods in ArmA3 are by default read from two locations;
Installing to the Arma 3 directory. By default this is located in: 32-Bit - C:\Program Files\Steam\Steamapps\Common\ArmA 3 64-Bit - C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\Steamapps\Common\ArmA 3 Extract your @mod_folder here. After extraction it should look like this: ...\Steam\Steamapps\Common\ArmA 3\@Mod_folder_1\Addons\[mod files (.pbo & .bisign)] Installing to the "My Documents\Arma3" folder. After extraction, your folder setup could than look like this: C:\Users\[YOURNAME]\Documents\Arma 3\@Mod_folder_2\Addons\[mod files (.pbo & .bisign)] It is also possible to set custom mod locations. This is best done with a launcher. Userconfig folder If a mod comes with a "userconfig" folder, place it into your Arma 3 main directory so it should look like this: ...\Steam\steamapps\common\Arma 3\userconfigYou may already have a "userconfig" folder from other addons and/or mods in which case it is safe to merge the contents from this archive. Launching your Mods with Official ArmA3 LauncherUsing the Official BIS ArmA 3 LauncherTo start the launcher click Play on Arma 3 in Steam. You can install mods, create Mod Presets and configure your game startup options. The BIS Launcher supports Steam Workshop items, as well as local files (e.g. Armaholicâ„¢ mod downloads and other non-Steam Workshop mods). For more information on the Official launcher, check the BIS Wiki here. To install a mod:

Launching your Mods with Startup Parameters (Steam & shortcut methods)Startup Parameters via arma3.exe/arma3server.exe shortcutRight click on the arma3.exe and create a shortcut. Right click on the shortcut, open its properties. At the end of the target line, paste -mod=@mod_name like this: "C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 3\arma3.exe" -mod=@mod_nameand if you want to add multiple mods, separate them with ";" "C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 3\arma3.exe" -mod=@mod_name;@mod_name2Click here for more information on Arma 3 startup parameters. Launch Parameters via Steam You can add an Arma 3 Startup Parameter to Steam, in order to do so right-click on ArmA 3 and click Properties and then Set Launch Options. In the window that opens enter in the following: -mod=@your_mod_folder_nameFor using multiple mods you would then do so like this: -mod=@mod_name;@mod_name2;@mod_name3;@mod_name4;@mod_name5*NOTE* When launching your game with the Steam Launch Parameters, any mods enabled via this method will activate every time you launch Arma 3 unless you remove/change the entry in the "Set Launch Options" dialogue. If you change mods frequently, it is recommended you use a launcher. If the above information still does not provide you with enough to learn how to install custom addons and mods you can always ask in our Guide On Installing Mods thread. Written by: Tavish

Installing to the Arma 3 directory.
By default this is located in:
32-Bit - C:\Program Files\Steam\Steamapps\Common\ArmA 3
64-Bit - C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\Steamapps\Common\ArmA 3
This part is reversed should be:
64-bit - C:\Program Files\Steam\Steamapps\Common\ArmA 3
32-bit - C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\Steamapps\Common\ArmA 3
x85 = 32bit.
Greetings,
Adding a local mod is easy, but the file within /userconfig is never found by Arma3 (via Steam, 2017).
No matter where I place /userconfig, the game tells me the file is missing (as soon as Arma 3 is fully loaded).
