When BI added HK416s and HK417s to the Arma series, I was delighted. However, little things like the scope position or the grip on the magwell always irked me somewhat. So inspired by all the other great mod makers out there, I decided to try to make my own versions.
The first part of the mod pack is the HK417A2 with all 3 barrel length that HK produce as well as the ‘standardised’ colours.
HK416A5s will follow.
Mods in this series will not be as efficient as the wonderful RHS in terms of sections, poly count and overall memory usage. Nor will they have the fantastically involving sounds of SMA. However, if you want a pack that gives you the full series of each model, this might be the mod for you.
To install SPS Weapons Vanilla Version you should use modfolders to keep it seperate from the official game content to prevent issues.
With Arma 3 you can use different ways to set up your modfolders to use custom content you have downloaded.

This is the 7.62x51 version of the LAMG.
H&K Gen 3 Polymer Magazines added
Hopefully finally got on top of the optional RHS grip pod dependencies for the LAMG
Magazine Proxies added to HK416s
(60 Round surefire mag included as magazine proxy model as well as 'original' HK mag)
Minor tweaks to all weapon position bones. (Should give better position in the shoulder now.)
Minor tweaks to attachment positions to provide better compatibility between Vanilla and RHS side and under rail attachments.
Minor tweaks to hand positions
Fixed missing tracers on the Berger Juggernaut OTM tracer ammo
Small hotfix to ensure no errors pop up when not running RHS in conjunction with this mod.
(The LAMGs without the additional plastic hand guards have RHS Gripod compatibility so this hotfix keeps this compatibility but ensures no errors when RHS is not running.)
Knight's Armament Company Light Assault Machine Gun (LAMG) Added.
Accuracy Internation AXMC retextured. Two new ammunition types added but these are primarily for use with ACE3.
Minor tweaks to HK417 stats and accessories positions
Minor updates to HK416 textures
Minor updates to use the MAR10 sounds as well as tweaks to manual bolting animations that allow optics view to be maintained throughout the bolting.
Some clean up of short names for magazine types
Fixed the animation issue when in the prone position
Also changed the non-silenced sound. Was previously inheriting from the M320/M200 which had an additional bolt action sound which is no longer needed with the manual bolting.
Accuracy International AXMC Series of sniper rifles added. Currently the pack includes .338 (Lapua Magnum), .300(Winchester Magnum) and .308(Winchester)/7.62x51 calibres in 27", 26" and 26" barrels respectively.
Manual bolting with (vanilla) hand animation now added. The manual bolting/reload is delayed until you release your 'hold breath' action. Similarlty, if you continue to hold the trigger after shooting, the manual bolting/reload will be delayed until the trigger is released. These are my prefered options for allowing visibility down the scope of the shot landing.
Update to the magazine swap script to fix a small issue. (Many thanks, Crazy!)
Front Back Up Iron Sight (BUIS) left on when optics fitted. (Rear BUIS clashes with too many optics to be left on.)
Reload animations improved
Front hand position 'improved' (although I'm still not 100% happy with these.)
Muzzle flashes fixed.
Weapon resting with no bipod fixed - the weapon will now only lower down to the lowest point of the rifle.
Minor improvement to reload animation
Improved proxy positions of side mounts and suppressors for the longer HK417s
Fixed LOD related texture issue on the 20" and 16.5" HK417 when using the iron sights ranged to 100 and 300m
