This addon provides a BLUFOR faction depicting the 2nd Commando Regiment (2CDO) and the Special Operations Engineer Regiment (SOER) serving with the Special Operations Task Group (SOTG), a joint Australian special operations package composed of different special operations units from the Special Operations Command (SOCOMD). The unit focuses on advance force operations, direct action, special reconaissance, and military advice and assistance.
This mod comes with one faction in Multicam. Primary weapons are the M4A1 and the Mk18 in various configurations with the Glock 17 as side arm. Other specialized operators are armed with the AWC-M, AWM, M14, M107, M240, M249, and the Mk11. Some Operators have the vanilla UAV terminal and the laser designator, and all operators also have a single IR Grenade in addition to first aid kits, grenades, flash bangs, smoke grenades, and lightsticks. There are anti-tank Operators armed with the FGM-148 Javelin, the M3 MAAWS, and the M72A7 respectively, and finally there is a UAV Operator with the vanilla UAV. There are also Operators with sound suppressors on their primary weapons, ideal for recon and stealth.
Due to mod limitations there are a few Arma 3 vanilla vehicles present but named after their real world equivalent, and other vehicles are taken from RHS: USAF and the 3CB BAF vehicles mod.
Use “aus_commando” (without quotes) to use the faction with ALiVE modules, pick the Motorized Infantry and Special Forces categories for ALiVE to draw forces from.
Required addons: 3CB BAF Vehicles, Community Based Addons, NiArms Core, NiArms AWM Rifles, RHS:USAF, and VSM All-In-One Collection.
ALiVE is not required.
As of February 1, 2018, Road Runner's Arma 3 mods will cease to be available as his addon making is over, but he allowed anyone who wished to host his mods to do so. I double checked if I could use his mods with my factions and he allowed me to do that, so a big grateful thank you to Road Runner.
I (GrizzlyBear83) will leave NO support for the mods sans my configuration files as I've not made the mods. There will be some clipping here and there, but I did my best to use vests and helmets that offered little to no clipping.
To install Australian Special Operations Task Group you should use modfolders to keep it seperate from the official game content to prevent issues.
With Arma 3 you can use different ways to set up your modfolders to use custom content you have downloaded.

* Added faction specific crates, and logistics configurations for ALiVE Player Logistics. Just input crate class names in the ALiVE Player Logistics module and the crates will be delivered to you when you make a call to be resupplied in the field.
