Powerful and unique plates of equally powerful and unique ratings.
AAPM: Special Threats is the second LEO and SWAT-oriented submod for Advanced Armor Plate Mod, bringing you interesting armor ratings with equally interesting abilities. These plates, numbering at over twenty total, include such ratings as III/IV or III/IV+ dual certification, IV+, and various specialist plates like titanium-steel Bulldog Special Threat plates and fiberglass-steel hybrids too. These new armor compositions grant the AAPM-using player a variety of new options. Use fiberglass-steel plates for superior blunt trauma when compared to regular steel, or Titanium-Steel to save your weight and your life. Use III/IV dual-certified plates if you're unsure about what rounds the enemy might have on the other side of that door, or step it up to III/IV+ for serious protection.
To install AAPM: Special Threats you should use modfolders to keep it seperate from the official game content to prevent issues.
With Arma 3 you can use different ways to set up your modfolders to use custom content you have downloaded.
Please visit the Arma 3 Mod install instructions page for more information about using custom mods and addons in Arma 3.

Added Tamiami Titanium-Steel plate.
Added an additional III/IV plate from CATI.
Introduced many additional plates from the BAE Eclipse series of higher-level commercial ESAPIs rated at NIJ-IV to numerous additional NIJ-III/IV Dual-Certification plates with numerous styles of "In-Conjunction-With"
Heavy plate buff. First introduction of the Armor-Weight Metric, which tells you how good a plate's armor is relative to its weight. Here are the "AWM Tiers":
Tier 0: 0.30-0.99 (Steel and low-end Ceramics / Polyethylenes)
Tier 1: 1.01-1.2 (Most ceramics)
Tier 2: 1.21-1.6 (Some Polyethylenes and some higher-end Ceramics)
Tier 3: 1.61-2.00 (Powerful plates)
Tier 4: 2.00-3.2 (high level STPs and the XSAPI)
Tier 5: 3.2-4.5 (Model 4520 and a few others)
Tier 6: 4.5 to 30 (Ceradyne .50 BMG Protective)
These tiers do not tell you how GOOD a plate is, but rather how good a plate's armor and blunt trauma protection added up divided by the plate's weight is. Thus, if you encounter two NIJ-III Ceramics, you can rest assured that one with an AWM of 1.6 is better than one with an AWM of 1.1.
Minor buff to the III/IV and III/IV+ plates.
