Cold War Rearmed2 is a community project to bring back the ever popular Cold War Crisis and Resistance campaigns
and the required content (and more!) to ArmA II.
The Modification you downloaded is the result of around 8 year’s work, with thousands of hours spent by countless
people working on this Project in their spare free time. Without their dedication, and the generous model donations of
many people this giant project could have never finished.
We hope you will enjoy this work and have some fun hours with it.
This document contains the class names of all Units, Vehicles and Weapons used in the CWR2 Modification.
The lists are sorted alphabetically. Where appropriate, colors indicate on which side/faction the unit or vehicle can be
found:

As before, this is a complete new package! Please make sure you have removed all previously installed CWR² Mod folders!
All of the previously released files are no more required or horribly outdated.
Everything you need to play is in below Downloads.
1) Remove all previous Demo 4 content (if present)
2) Remove all previous SP/MP Missions and the Demo campaign
3) Download and install CWR² Public Beta
4) Download and install the optional content if wanted

The readme also contains important informations for mission designers.
As we always recommend use modfolders to seperate the custom content from the official game content to prevent problems.

When you are using the Steam version you can find a Steam mod installation and activation FAQ here.
For Steam users, right-click on your Operation Arrowhead game and choose "Properties". Click "Set launch parameters" and paste that parameter into the text field that opens.

Notes:
In Summer 2015 I decided to continue the work on CWR2 on my own, mainly because I can make changes faster
and without discussing every little aspect to death.
Another main reason was that the majority of the team became idle and I had to literally beg for every little bit
of work to be done; or even worse: people promised to do stuff and then simply walked away without a word.
In the past years of CWR2 Development we spent more time on waiting for people delivering nothing than we did
anything else. I simply had enough of sitting around and wait for nothing to be delivered.
While I’m not really an expert when it comes to models and textures, I can do at least basic work on my own and
fix minor issues. The result isn’t comparable to experts like ebud, gromov or Max Power. But none of them are in
the team anymore and I had only two options left: Continue on my own as best as I can or give the whole Mod up
and walk away as well.
It would have been a shame if all the work and time spent over the past years would have been lost. So I’ve gone
for the latter even though I need days to do stuff where an expert would only need an hour or two.
Now, after several months of work, testing and tweaking I think it’s time to finally give you the new version to
play with. And while doing so, you eventually find a few more issues to fix or small additions to add.
I’m pretty much open for all suggestions as long as they are kept reasonable. I can’t add more tanks or planes or
helicopters as they are way too complicated for my skills. Adding another (existing) rifle, ammunition or a unit variant should be no problem.

Thank you for these updates, Arrowhead is still my main game (beside Falcon 4)...the same for my sons. We have A3, but play A2.
