GDI Retexture Project

Originally a loose coalition of weebs, gamers and Soviets, the G.D.I., under the leadership of Oatmealzzz, morphed into a powerful paramilitary organization during the Second Gamer-Furry War. Under the leadership of the High Command, the G.D.I. was propelled to victory.

With the conclusion of the Second Gamer Furry War, the G.D.I. morphed into a peacekeeping organization, devoted to ensuring the tenuous peace between them and the F.D.S., the Furry counterpart of the G.D.I. The G.D.I. has survived internal rebellion, major war and peacetime attempts to dismantle and disarm it, and continues to serve Gamers to this day.

There are currently four standard camo patterns, each with their own faction in the Editor: Standard, Desert, Jungle, and Urban. In addition there is the Occupational Authority, a G.D.I. organization charged with maintaining the safety and security of occupied territories. Finally, there's G.S.F., which encompasses elite G.D.I. special warfare units, including Red Team, Task Force Draco, and Cobra. There's also the G.D.I. Elite faction, a team of special operatives employed by the OSS and ISB.

Uniforms, lite and medium plate carriers, and GL and Special rigs exist and are properly textured for all four camo patterns as well as GSF. Custom patches for most G.D.I. units are also available.

The addon is also 100% free of all RHS content, which is the reason why the original was taken down.

To install GDI Retexture Project you should use modfolders to keep it seperate from the official game content to prevent issues.
With Arma 3 you can use different ways to set up your modfolders to use custom content you have downloaded.

The No. 1 priority right now is to get it working in Zeus. Right now the units are visible in Eden, but not Zeus. After that comes vehicle reskins and additional uniforms.

Revamped the SSBOTT faction, giving them improved durability and armament. Full group sets have been implemented.

Updated unit groups for multiple factions; all GDI camo variant factions now have groups as do many OPFOR factions.

Tweaked armor, added SAD Arid BDU

Made GDAID a civilian faction.
Reworked GDAID units.
Added vests, uniforms and headgear from Laws of War DLC to add a little extra flair to GDAID.

Added groups to key factions i.e. GDI, Partisans.
Also, nerfed the SAD Ballistic Combat Uniform. Turns out I pressed another zero and 50 became 500 armor.

Updated SAD Ballistic Combat Uniform to have ballistic protection. Ballistic uniforms is a likely feature to have for future factions.

Finally added unit accessibility in zeus maps. Now all zeus missions that allow community addons will have GDI units as well as other faction units as placeable, playable assets
Also working on a small zeus map on Stratis. First mission, we'll see how it goes.

Added Ravensnest infantrymen. They wear all-black uniforms and in terms of military equipment and technology, parallel the GDI.

Added the OSS Special Activities Division
>Added specialized units for the OSS wearing their own unique camo.
The OSS's Special Activities Division, or SAD, is the GDI's top special warfare unit designed for "enhanced asset extraction or termination." Much of the S.A.D.'s jacket is classified and images of their personnel in action are few and far in between.

>Added the Minutemen as BLUFOR and OPFOR.
>Added a BDU uniform and Beret for the SSBOTT.

Re-added garrison units, dress uniform units.

An organized rebellion force primarily consisting of pro-FDS Humans, these heavily-geared opponents have equipment that rivals that of even the GDI’s in terms of armor and armament. The key identifier of a Partisan is their bright orange beret.

Fixed slight issue.

Bug fixes

Unit Equipment Overhaul
Adjusted the loadouts of all basic units in all four schemes, also added some new units on top of basic rifleman, AT, etc. The new lineup is as follows.
>Ammo Bearer- carries ammo
>Assistant Autorifleman - assists heavy gunner, has parts, ammo
>Assistant Machine Gunner - carries tripod
>AT Rifleman - carries AT launcher
>AT Lite - carries recoilless launcher
>Autorifleman - carries LSW
>Combat Engineer - equipped with engineering equipment
>Combat Lifesaver - paramedic
>Explosives Specialist - carries mines, charges
>Grenadier - has grenade launcher
>Heavy Gunner - carries SPMG.
>Marksman - Carries DMR
>Mechanic - more for RP/atmosphere
>Machine Gunner - carries HMG
>Officer - commander
>Rifleman - basic soldier
>Rifleman Lite - light rifleman
>Sharpshooter - equipped with more powerful, accurate marksman rifle
>Squad Leader - leads a team of 3 men
>Team Leader - leads 3-4 squads.
Adjusted GDI Elites and GSF, also added Red Team and OSS - Special Activites Division as factions.

Fixed a major issue with previous update

>Added an SSBOTT Combat Uniform
>Added SSBOTT Combat Helmet
>Added Blufor and Opfor SSBOTT Factions
>Added unique SSBOTT Units for Eden Editor.
The SSBOTT's men may pale in comparison to the GDI's heavy armor and advanced weapons, but where they lack in strength, they make up for in speed. The SSBOTT are lightweight, stealthy, and deployed in large numbers.

A few fixes
>Fixed dress uniform shoes being tan/brown.
>Added a medical uniform colored white with the red crystal for GDAID medics and doctors.
>Added a light duty uniform for the OA.

Added dress uniforms for the following ranks:
>NCO (Actual icon is SSGT)
>High Commander

I didn't want to get into all the ranks because that would add too many uniforms. Dress uniforms are added mainly for immersion purposes.

Added to the Occupational Authority faction, GDAID personnel are devoted to rebuilding war-ravaged cities and towns and bringing humanitarian aid to those in need.

There's three variants, the standard worker in the uniform, an armored one with a retextured vest, and finally a high risk one wearing a helmet and Urban uniform.
