A standalone version of my interpretation of the ROVER (Remotely Operated Video Enhanced Receiver) which is used by US armed forces which allows for ground controllers a visual feed of an aircraft's image sensors.
Although not fully realistic, this aims to add the ability to see any aircraft with a "pilotCamera" to allow for a unit that is carrying the ROVER to view their feed, as long as also the said aircraft has Data Link Send switched on.
I've also tried to allow for aircraft which have turrets (2 seaters, UAVs) to show the turret if the pilotCamera is not present, I may work on tweaking this a bit if warranted as aircraft such as the F/A-18F Super Hornet mod by TeTeT have both pilotCamera and a separate turret which results in the feed being of pilotCamera as that has priority.
Also I've added side checking to only show aircraft which are friendly, maybe I may add 3 separate versions to allow for stealing of enemy equipment, although I don't really intend on furthering this.
I've also added ACE compatiblity so that it doesn't clog your scroll menu, if ACE is present, the action moves under the equipment category in self interact.
To install USAF ROVER you should use modfolders to keep it seperate from the official game content to prevent issues.
With Arma 3 you can use different ways to set up your modfolders to use custom content you have downloaded.
Please visit the Arma 3 Mod install instructions page
for more information about using custom mods and addons in Arma 3.
Steps for use in game:
1. Aircraft has Data Link Send switched On
2. A unit has item USAF_Rover in their inventory somewhere
3. Check scroll wheel for action or if ACE is present, check self interact -> equipment
Fixed images missing, causing errors to throw.
Added new combo box which allows to cycle through different turret views
