Description: This Addon improves the TOW and AT5 weapons. Features: - Auto lock on on vehicles (IRLock) deactivated. There are two fire modes for the Hellfire:
2. Laser-Seeker for lock on on Laser Designator targets. Activation via action menu. Usable as gunner and pilot. - Clear gunner Optic. - Higher zoom for gunner Optic. Installation: Place the .pbo file(s) into your ArmA/Addons folder or use a modfolder. Armaholic.com advices to use a mod folder for custom addons. For an extensive explanation of how to make/use modfolders please have a look at our FAQ. Included files: gdtmodhellfire.pbo Media: Known issues: Smoke for all missiles and rockets reduced (There is only one missile/rocket smoke effekt in ArmA). AH1 with AI pilot and AI gunner does use the Hellfire only on Laser Designator targets. Notes: This Addon is client side only. You can lock a Laser Designator target with Laser-Seeker OFF. But in this case the missile can not decide between manual control and laser target. A pilot who does not have a gunner can fire the Hellfire on manual mode too. Makes tank killing much more difficult if you don't have a laser designator on the ground or in another aircraft. I feel like the helo has to be within a 15 degree window of the target (basically facing the target). I love the additional zoom and the cleared view. But with an AI pilot flying around like an idiot, keeping the TADS cursor on the target is pretty difficult. And the hellfires don't turn on a dime if you are facing away from the target a bit.
Any plans to mod the hyper accuracy of the 30mm cannon? Gun cam vids on Youtube show it being pretty inaccurate in real world. What is that called, dispersion?
By the way, the above is not a criticism. In fact, it seems more realistic. For example, now you can steer hellfires into buildings easily. But if there is a way of locking the view of the camera onto a building or tank or bicycle or whatever by hitting the slash key, it would be easier. Maybe that's not possible.
But I know you can do it in "camera.sqs mode" when making videos or taking photos.
