This adds an IFF beacon for each player on the server. Players can choose whether it's visible in thermal vision, NVGs, or both.
Turn it on and off through the action menu, and determine which modes are visible in the "configure addons" menu. Toggle them both off to take the action out of your menu, toggle one or both back on to get the action back.
There's no equipment involved and as far as I know this should be compatible with any other mods. This mod is now fairly robust and ought to work under almost any circumstances. If it doesn't, let me know.
To install Thermal and NVG IFF beacon you should use modfolders to keep it seperate from the official game content to prevent issues.
With Arma 3 you can use different ways to set up your modfolders to use custom content you have downloaded.

I got started by reverse engineering the following mods, so credit to:

Added a keys folder in the root of the mod containing my public key, for server admin use.
Quick fix to account for some change in how (I assume?) Arma or CBA were handling adding actions to players on game start. Not extensively tested.
Should properly clean up all objects and actions that were being left behind in multiplayer on entering vehicles or returning to your body after respawning.
Thermal strobe now fully rendering up to a few km away.

- Added CBA options. Toggle thermal strobe and NVG beacon individually. Hides action if both are toggled off.
