]NTRUDER has released in our
our forums a new version of this coop mission for ArmA2.
Changes in this version:
- Fixed: issue with spawning Humvees/supplies at checkpoints
- New: ammo boxes spawning at checkpoints now contain rucks, SMAWs and TAC-50 ammo (in addition to their default load)
- Removed: sandbag boxes spawning at checkpoints
- Changed: some civilan offroads used by the enemy replaced with technicals
Impressive mission, good island to play on arma2 with great FPS and fantastic units, very enjoyable coop experience, this mission deserves a complete coop campaign!
Thx Gooseman, glad you enjoyed it!
If I find the inspiration for a campaign I might just make one...:)
Great mission, but when we played it, we couldn't find any of the ACE medical supplies anywhere. We really needed some epi and couldn't find any in the boxes. Does that need to be added or did we just miss it? Also, it would be cool if the vehicles around the home base are spread out a bit more and a little more organized.
@node_runner
Thanks for the feedback :)
You missed the medical box yes! It's right there next to the other ones at the starting point (by the truck). It holds all the epiphrene, bandages and morphine you need.
Can you please explain what you mean by "spread out" and "a little more organized"? Contradiction? :D
All of the vehicles at the starting position were kind of tightly placed, one behind the other. It's just my own preference and it is a minor detail, so don't change it only on my account. But I thought it would be better to have the vehicles on either side of the road, placed beside each other in a row so you could pick what you need, then turn onto the road without having to drive through other parked vehicles in front of you. I'm gonna download your new version and find the epi crate now. Dunno why we missed it the other night. Oops! But yeah, this is brilliant. I like the mission a lot.
Is there a trick to destroying the radio tower? We tried a few satchel charges and shooting rockets at it, with no effect. Is it only possible to destroy it with armor?
I released a new version of my mission (1.01).
Check the forum thread below for download link (before it's posted "officially" that is)
Now the mission works with Quesh-Kibrul 2.0 and I took the opportunity to add more enemies on rooftops while I was at it :)
Enjoy!

Was it the big tower or the litte next to it you tried to blow up?
The big tower. Should we be blowing up the little one?
Yes! You only have to destroy the little tiny one since that is the unit connected to the trigger. Let's say "story wise" that the big TV tower has already been shut down, but the terrorists have built the small telecom tower to supply them with cellphone coverage. Or something :)
Would it be possible to add some more civilians to the map? After checkpoint 1 it seemed like the only other people you saw were enemy. Excellent map though. We enjoyed it very much. Looking forward to more in the future.
@DownRange
Actually there are some more civs on the map, but if you see them or not depends on the route you are taking :) But certainly, I can always add more! I will address this in the next version. Thanks!
I wonder if anyone else has found the big boy toys on the map? Easter egg?
@DownRange
Oh nooooo, you found them...lol.. They are only there for scripting reasons :)
The transport/support script I use in the mission needs those units to be able to function. (the irony is that I think very few are actually using that script hehe..)
So play all you want with them! In the next version I will remove both their fuel and ammo...:D
I only have one complaint after playing through the mission a few times. I absolutely hate the injury system. You hit a bump in a vehicle going 20 mph and you die. You shoot a guy with a .50 cal 2 times and he is still alive. Hopefully ACE will tweak this a little bit.
Yeah DownRange, I hear that. Never thought I'd say this but I'm actually thinking of going back to the BIS module... We'll see what happens...
Hey - Happy New Year! And thx for playing my stuff :)
