THANKS FOR THIS KICK ASS PATCH!
I tested Arma 1 performance (at Paraiso, Corazol and Ortego the big towns) and I need to say that performance bloody good! All setup to max level and 60fps every where! (with vertical synchronization on) I'm looking forward to play it in multiplayer! (The only server running with patch 1.18 it was a COOP with ACE mod... And I didn't install it yet)
Do you know what was my first though when I FEEL the huge performance increase? I'm going to propose to my mates to play again Arma 1 instead Arma 2 because in Arma 1 now all of us we will have enough performance to enjoy it! I think that many people will do the same if they try this patch!
My second though was ... I would like to create something big for Arma 1! (In fact I did it but I stop the development because Arma 2...)
Thanks to Bohemia Interactive team for the good job!
Happy Christmas!
I tried to go back to Arma 1, only for the performance. But for some reason, the magic is gone once you played Arma 2. Although it is great to see BIS still working to improve their old game.
Now lets hope they do the same good job on Arma 2, but only faster.
@ Tommy D: Good point
Thx BIS for supporting ArmA 1 still.
