Von Rundstedt released new screenshots on
our forums showing the M1910 Maxim machinegun.
Quote Von Rundstedt:
We're still alive and kicking, most recent updates can be always found from our own forums. We're moving steadily towards the release, but its still a while 'till we're there. We could really use a UV-mapper to lighten the burden on me, so if anybody wants to give a hand or learn in order to help us, be sure to be in touch. Would certainly speed up the release.
We also have finished essential parts of M1910 Maxim machine gun (maybe we add snow to wheels). It can be transported to different firing position, but obviously AI can't use it alone, but it should have notable tactical value in MP.
You can post your feedback in the
Fww2 topic.
This mod will be still "WIP" when ArmA 3 will comes ;]
I think that its better thing, because we have more features and stuff in the mod.
If you have nothing constructive to say its better to not post, else you just annoy the armaholic admins.
If you have so much time why don't you offer your service to these guys and help them instead of posting useless comments nobody cares to read.
Or............did you forgot to mention you can not make anything yourself and are totally depending how fast others work "for you"?
It was a joke, sarcasm dear admins! ;D Yes, you have right about doing mods, but from ArmA 1 - still I'm seeing news about this mod. Still WIP, no beta to try. Is this necesary to make these news once or more in month?
@4

What about Invasion '44 ?
No, seriously. Lots of great mods coming (and hopefully some will be released):
- FDF for ArmA 2
- This mod
- Invasion 44
- Project reality
Hmmm, well, maybe look at our header?
"Covering the Armed Assault series".
And guess what, Armed Assault falls under just that and this mod falls under Armed Assault.......oh boy.
I don't like your sarcasm, you lack any kind of respect for someones work.
Let me be sarcastic too now:
"Your level will be very wip until ArmA 6 is released if I don't like your comments"
Ok, next time I will post comments like: "Oh...superb", "Oh - this is great stuff, I can't wait" etc. That you always want here on a forum? I'm not insult anybody and I don't post some stupid comments with "bad words" or similar things right? ;]
My first comment was critique about mod & posting news about this few times in a month. I have respect for all mod makers, big thanks to few of them, but this is most WIP mod and it's annoying to see next news about it with some small improvement steps.
Look at Invasion '44 - few (but not to many) news about it and we have beta to test. That's what I'm talking about.
I am not asking you to post only happy flappy comments. I am asking you to be constructive. Telling someone his work wont even be out when ArmA3 is released is a useless comment and you can keep those to yourself. Totally not constructive.
To me this really does not sound like you are pointing the finger to us, newsposters.
As soon as you start making addons and want your work shown to the community I will think about it twice and decide wether or not its news worthy. For all addon makers in the meantime we are a news website, we post the news as we recieve it and we are happy to show someones work to the community.
If you don't like the news don't read it.
My suggestion - could be better less news, but with more materials about WIP mods? Sometimes you're posting that (news about addons (like units, maps and bigger mods)) and this is better I think (but this is only my opinion).
Maybe my comment was no constructive, sorry for that, but I remember that WIP mod from ArmA 1, many news, screenshots and one video (as I remember) - finally nothing to play and I don't believe that this will be finish soon for ArmA 2 - with all respect to makers of Finland at War.
wow u made my wish come true:)
i always wanted to see a hand carried heavy mg
dont listen to those who make fun of u
the are here to mess arround :((
i think its better to mod for and older game , this will keep the game alive
just ask the OFP1 modder nowadays
for me id give this mod 1000/10:thumb
il be downloading this when its released
Now granted we are somewhat behind of our initial hopes of release date, but then again there is so many things that cause it, such as RL (I still do place my family before this mod), placing quality before amount, ridiculously small team (now you have to understand that I do all the UV-mapping and texturing myself and not until long ago I did all the models too). Basically we're doing this on our own terms and speed. We also felt that its stupid to waste so much work by jumping straight to ArmA2. Most of features are heavily (yet FPS friendly) script driven, which don't transport over to ArmA2 so neatly as one hopes.
We do realize that there is a small core audience for us and most of them are in our own forums, but still we see fit to post news if somebody wants to see them. Frankly very few news page posts our stuff anymore and for that I am very thankful to ArmAholic, you guys have supported us ever since you launched.
And about beta/demo of our mod, we don't play the game that way. We do full release when we are ready to do so. If you feel its too far away, I invite you to help us. As I posted we need a UV-mapper and I am even willing to train you for the task.
