After years of ArmA CWC, ArmA and ArmA 2, I'm now dare enough to upload my first mission :p



Codename Scorpion

Description:
A 4 men US Special Operations team inserted near a militia mountain camp, to open a path for KSK commandos, which will attack mountain outpost. Latest UAV recon showed us a AA emplacement, US team must destroy it. We also got the intel about enemy officer, who is responsible for some massacres in Takistan, codename scorpion. He is your priority target.


Features:
  • Some short text dialogues.
  • Guns.
  • Fresh mountain air.
  • More guns.
  • A briefing, after a hard learning session.
  • Anti Aircraft guns!
  • Some triggers... yeah... So hardcore...
  • Silenced guns!


  • Installation:
    Extract the .pbo file(s) to your ArmA2 Operation Arrowhead\Missions folder for singleplayer.
    Extract the .pbo file(s) to your ArmA2 Operation Arrowhead\MPMissions folder for multiplayer.

    Changelog:
    1.0: AI number increased.
    New AI positions added.
    US Special Operations group now has 5 men. Sniper added.
    Longer and harder gameplay.
    Some bugfixes.
    More dialogues.
    Several typos fixed.
    Now has 10 playable slots.

    Notes:
    It is a really easy mission, I wasn't sure about uploading, put then I said... Just do it. I hope you will like it! :D
    Feedback is really appreciated, I will go on with some new projects.
    Also, there may be some grammatical mistakes, sorry.

    A quick test on the Comrades in Arms server:
    Slots screen: Three slots are available. On Bravo - One KSK Team Leader slot, on Charlie - two Operators slots.
    Briefing: The briefing says that both the Mortar and the Takistani officer should be "your first target".
    Mission: I eliminated pretty easily the Mortar team, got into one of the mortars and fired at the AA point and Scorpion's base. He got killed and the mission was complete without much effort...
    No errors due to mission running on dedicated server were detected :)

    I think the mission has potential, I hope you will move through it's flaws and correct them so we can enjoy it :)
    Thanks for making this, and I will subscribe to this thread and will update if you release a new version.

    Antifiriz, thanks for updating the mission. The new dialogues, and the surprise at the beginning of the mission are great :) However, you didn't fix the main flaw of the mission. by using the mortars of the first objective I could have destroyed the two AA sites and kill Scorpion and end the mission. I would suggest removing all ammo for the mortar and even add another dialogue saying - "damn, we could have used those if there was ammo for them!", or something like that, because right now, the mission takes about 5 minutes to complete...

    # Antifiriz : I'll be damned, I thoguht it's range is not that far.
    Once inside a mortar as a gunner you have an "Artillery Computer" option. It opens the map and there you simply have to click your target and choose a "range" - short, medium or far. When the range is right, you have an option to "Fire". They don't really miss :)
