# axffox : Most tops will be tucked in , although there will be some without.

I can add patches, I don't have a problem. I love having them in, it's just another detail to add. And imo it makes it more personal, and less generic .. (duh).

I'm in the process of making that utility pouch right now , hopefully i should have it in game by tonight.

Added 1 hour 30 minutes later:

sorry about the double post..

anywho.. pretty much done. Zipper needs to be not all around ... I got your nasty looking fc flag in too heh..

it has to be higher up due to the game animations , sadly. gona do the IFAK and fix up my saw pouches ...

Looking better and better, mate. If I could provide a bit of advice...? You might wanna contact Cameron McDonald on the BI forums who did the 1st ID addon. He will prob lend you his ACH model.

The flag actually has a story. It's the typical cloth flag on our uniforms while in garrison, however, I kept it there not only because it was in tri-color, but because it has my squad leaders blood on it. I've just recently had it framed and all.

Well then, if I've convinced you to actually make this a unit specific addon, my vote would go to the 173rd Airborne. Feel free to Google them and have a look at the critically acclaimed NatGeo doc titled Restrepo that was filmed with them in Afghanistan.

Sidebar: Shouldn't your helmet have a UCP covering? If it's just WIP, I apologize.

Nope no ucp helmet cover for this model (this is made for my custom sf models) I was just giving some reference shots. Although I have also used these same helmet models for my upcoming multicam us army models that shouldn't be too much longer ( in theory lol)

Looking better and better, Fox! I haven't been this impressed by an addon since Cameron McDonald released his 1st ID for ArmA. Minor issues though, as always, and I probably know you're just about done with people pointing certain aspects out....

If you don't mind. The ankle pocket is a bit big/over sized, could be crunched down a bit. Other issues with the ACU's as well i.e. pockets, cargo pockets, sleeves etc etc. If ya want, I'll post some photos of my ACU tops and bottoms. MY MC uniforms are currently in storage, so that's a no-go.

What's with the boots, mate?

saw your post on bi, and you're probably gona see my reply. but for others , the boots are simply placeholders. posting new ss's in a few secs w/ dirt and oakleys (placeholders as well (?))

Added 4 hours 56 minutes later:

my first unit that's basically complete. Unfortunately , my pbo is around 100 meg and i only have like 4 guys ... i'm really trying to keep this stuff down but maintain variation . i may release a 'low res' version to be mirrored, and a high res version via some ftp or something .

Left a comment on the BI forums.

Either way, the cat-eyes are on the ACH. Just a heads up from our previous discussion.

BTW mate, I normally have a map pen, sharpie, and a pen on the exterior of my utility pouch. Just a heads up.... :-)

EDIT - I hope you plan on adding different combat patches for some of the units. If not that is certainly cool.

These units look awesome!
But i think the helmet looks like it's a bit too skinny. could'nt you make it a little bit thicker?
and will some of these units have NV mount's on their helmet? And do you plan to release a beta version soon? :)

good idea, will thicken the helmet.

as for the nv mounts, yes, some will have nv mounts.. and for the beta.. well, I don't plan on a public beta, but I can send you the units once I fix most issues :) (which will be quite soon .. )

Roger that. Just shoot me a PM here as soon as you're ready.

EDIT - Do you have any intention of adding some miscellaneous items on the gear i.e., chem lights, rank, d-rings, etc etc?

Photos of the 173rd as reference. Just if you were looking for some additional assets.
