Herro armaholic!

once again i have another question for ya, i bet the masterminds here will be able to help with this.
In EW (Bonus mission) there is frigates and cruisers firing i think hellfire missiles at random.

I have no idea how they did it, but im guessing got something to do with scripts and faking it.
If you wanted hellfires to be fired up in the air by the frigates, i guess you create some kind of starting point for the missile, then fire it foward maybe 70degrees up in the air to be a little realistic, then you fake another round that starts in mid-air to land at a helipad (invisible).

I think that could be done, but i've never really understood how you create random shells missiles at markers or how ever the hell its done ;)

Im betting you guys have already tested it and had it working soo thanks in advance ! :)

This might interest you, Submerged Tomahawk launch.

Why use hellfire when you could use that! ]:->

Armstrong-"Hey Carillo, do you see that?"
Carillo-"See what?"
Armstrong-"Something's burning over there, see the smoke?"
Carillo-"That's not smoke it's dust!"
Armstrong-"Dust? i don't get it."

Ok, I see. I don't know how they did that. It would take extremely advanced scripting. If you really wanted something like it you should look into Mando Missile] if you haven't already. It changes alot in game and takes some getting used to but has stunning visuals and is a much more realistic representation of air combat. If you do try, don't give up too soon, like I said it takes a little getting used to and you must read the readme!

I'd seriously consider Mando Missiles. While complex, it gives you a huge toolkit making missiles and effects.

Mando recently released a video of a cruise missile launch to highlight some work he and I have done. Here is a link to a posting of that video.

I am fear.
