Just completed the SP campaign and played a few MP matches as well. What an absolute waste of money. The campaign is wholly uninspired, a carbon copy of MW2's set in different locales, the same cheap gimmicks as before. MP itself is a frag fest, being far far worse than previous iterations in the CoD series. I won't even touch on the terrible sound, highly dated visuals, the same tired game-play mechanics, or the total lack of vision and innovation. Sure, utilizing a engine that's a decade old doesn't help, but that is certainly no excuse.

I shall be uninstalling the game forthwith.

. Haha really that bad? I think the limited destruction is what really wouldn't be doing it any favors since you been playing battlefield. But you've convinced me not to get it lol.

but the game succeed in its goal: It sold a copy to you and thus made infinity ward some money, it also succeeded in giving you a fast-paced action shooter that is fun to play (usually) The only thing anyone ever rates the game on is its multiplayer, which sucks because it is too repetitive.

at least those are my views on the game.

Every single one of my friends says that they absolutely hate it... they're getting bored with the series and they really need some new features. They dont like Survival, because they say it feels like zombies only they move faster and they shoot you.
Like you said they sold the copies, but I think that they are losing steam through all of the negative feedback that I am getting.
I never planned on getting it in the first place, but now I am definately not getting it, and I do not recommend that anyone else does as well. Go get battlefield, its a guarenteed win once you start playing it like a battlefield game.

I haven't put my hands on the game, and I think the only reason that I would is to slam it into pieces with a 8 pounder, or to shoot it rambo style out of a nerf disk gun. Imagine loading up $2000 worth of MW3 disks into a nerf rifle and shooting them carelessly everywhere. I love the idea personally!!

you made me laugh with that, it reminds me on how awesome BF2 was with the voices and how the Americans spoke English, the Arabs spoke arabic, and the chinese spoke Chinese. I loved it :)

I like the game, especially the twists, and the fact that the legendary voicer of Gaz and Ghost is back. Just ashame that *SPOILERS* Soap MacTavish is killed. that made me and want send this to the authors

Its not really an abomination, it is just REALLY overdone. Infinity ward is going to keep making sequels until they come up with a new idea, or it stops making money. After that they will sell the franchise for a ton of money and move on. My advice for them is to come up with a completely new idea instead of the same thing over and over.

iv'e played a fair bit of it so far. it's good and the sound effects are awesome.

Yer I wasn't planning on getting it for a while because I prefer destructive war environment and the chaos of a battlefield, which is battlefield. But to be honest we all knew MW3 was going to be the same, because it was a success in MW2 and they were going to stick to that other then change it dramatically. It was battlefields move on the chessboard of gaming, and raise the bar. And next it will be MW turn to make their move and step it up now seeing what battlefield 3's success was and build off that, weather they will pull it off is another thing but I'm sure they know that they need to or it's over. So well just have to see.

I have to say, while the game may seem shiny and redone, its the same again....

Campaign is the good thing about this game, and survival is pretty awesome too. I'm a halo player, I guess I wasn't meant to play this game...

^I did not play MW3 yet, thank you for telling me how it ends.....but i have seen the airplane mission with the russian agent. I don't get it, when a plane looses control...gravity doesn't exist anymore???!? is that possible?

look up how NASA trains its astronauts for weightlessness. There should be somthing on how they use planes that go in a steep dive to generate 25-40 seconds of weightlessness
