Hi Guys
I purchased Arma 1 as a download quite a few years ago but, be it my computer or the game I could not get into it.I then purchased Operation Arrowhead, and the improvements got me back into the game. I then purchased ARMA II.

Now this is where I went wrong. I reinstalled Arma II then OA, and the Six Updater. Clicked on a few Mods and now
I have 39GB of files. Files in all the wrong places duplicate files (not many). But I have no control on what I have.(if that makes sense).
I can still play online but do not want to be to much of a noob and spoil the game play for others and leave and revert back to single player.
Is there a guide to setting Arma II and OA together. I have read the manual (RTFM) and I understand the basics. But I guess like most gamers I jumped in feet first didn't (RTFM) and stuffed it up.
As several members of our clan have now shown interest in ARMA II and III, I thought it best to ask the community guru's as no doubt I will be asked to solve problems in the future, should we eventually switch our BF3 server to ARMA III (God I hope so).

In conclusion many thanks for a fantastic forum etc. and I hope to add constructive input in the future.

I read your above post but have a little trouble to figure out what the problem actually is.
Do you want to know how to combine Arma 2 and Arma 2: OA?
Do you want to know how the Six Updater works?
Do you want to delete all addons you have downloaded?

Also, take a little note at this:

Most people posting on the forums need help, if every topic has a title like yours how are people supposed to find what they are looking for when in need of help? Making a proper title takes like 1 minute.

Simple to use and works good.

6 updater I don't like using myself, so I can't help you much with that,
But im still not exactly sure what you are wanting from it?

And I have no idea how to host..

As you said your probably jumping into it a bit far when learning the basics and trying to do that using 6 updater,
So maybe you should just use mod folders until you have at least some idea what your doing?

In installed the launcher and found the errors,
I had errors in folders but all good.
Just need to learn the basics now.

i combined arma 2 + oa to make co by just uninstalling oa and reinstalling into the root file ... then just do the same thing with the mods. i hate 6 updater

I made the same mistake with 6 updater.
I have now reinstalled and all works well.

My x52 has the normal throttle problem. Just cannot seem to get enough ++ throttle to power up on attacking.
Can hover no problem and land on a cushion but the throttle is a problem.
I would like to use the X52 as it great with VAC and TrackIR.

maybe try recalibrating ur joystick?

lol calibrated many times, its just that the x52 first 50% is no throttle or should I say <50% is brake. which of course
is never required. I've read many forums with the same problem. The attack of a target is not the problem, Its trying to
leave the attack area. without getting shot in the A....

I'm trying more stealth on the attack and from a distance seems to work better.

I suppose its the learning curve after years of spray and pray. I belief is that by the end of this year BF3 will probably be dead for the PC, the ARMA series with Arma3 due Q4 it will finally get its well deserved credits. But that's another topic.:)
