Training Grounds
For ACE and ACRE
On Moonfield Test-Grounds

I decided to take a small break from my campaign and play ArmA 2 free with a friend the other day. He was completly new to the game and its controls so I made a quick mission with a firing range, and vehicle/weapon training. This inspired me to make a full ArmA 2 CO version with ACE an ACRE. It will include, Small Arms, Heavy weapon, AT, AA, Arty, Attack helicopter, Transport Helicopter, VTOL, Fixed wing, Parachute training, tank training, light armor and soft vehicles. It will be huge! I may even expand it to 48 players (Then I need to put more weapon in the boxes and another C130 for "jump school" Vehicles and players will have a short respawn time incase your new pilots screw up.

Thanks for rapid answer. It looks very nice shoting range and excellent idea to make this training ground with ACE & ACRE mod. I hope it will be very soon.

Just a little update (no pictures). I'm currently working on an Urban Warfare course (Kill houses). And i'm also debating if I should put eastern weapons and vehicles in game? Or should I just put in the ones used by the CDF? With all the vehicles on the map right now it could begin to lag lower end PC's, thats why i'm wondering. (Thanks for reminding me to update by the way, I completly forgot I started this thread.)

Looking good so far, but I can't see the screens larger than thumbnail size. Any plans to do a non-ACE version?

Also, how many vehicles do you have on-map at the moment? I have always been curious to know when something like that would really truly start messing with performance.

I have every vehicle (Military, no civilian) in ACE 2 (so in upwards of atleast 1000. A non ACE Version will come soon, I'm actually going to start that after I'm done with dinner tonight.

The moonfield testing grounds is only going to be a temporary map (its a great map and all but since it has such heavy vegitation and forests it lags lower end PC's.) At this point this will be the host once V1.0 comes out. MCAGCC 29 Palms This should help boost the performance on the map (Assuming that the map will not have large dense forests.

I would love to get ahold of it once it releases. Especially if it has a NON-ACE mode.
