Sorry, I din't know how to word this. I have bee trying to get the effect in a mission where the player can't control where they are going, but can look around. An example is in the ArmA 2 campaign 'Harvest Red' in the mission 'Harvest Red', when you clear a warehouse with your sqaud. I have searched the web and around the forums but again, I didn't know how to word it. If anyone knows this effect or has picked apart a campaign mission to locate it, could I please have some assistance? Any help is appreciated.

That scene is a camera intro script. They activate a camera to control what the player sees. Search camera.sqs for more information.

You could also just attach the player to something like an invisible helipad or something. They'll be able to run in place and look around, but not move anywhere.

Those are animations that you can make any soldier execute.

If you make your own soldier execute them, you will be able to look around.

You can make a soldier execute an animation by adding him a waypoint in the editor and in the init line put: soldiername playmove "Animationname"
or
soldiername switchmove "Animationname"

So with this command, you can execute every animation present in the game, I'd suggest you this example mission.

It makes you able to display every animation in the game through a dialog, copy and paste them.
