Hello again,

Here is another mod idea I had and am wondering how hard it would be to take what DayZ has already accomplished with looting/survival aspects and replace all the zombies with patrols of armed soldiers. I would basically like try making a world like Red Dawn, grouping up and camping out in the wilderness, raiding towns for supplies and attacking military encampments and such.

Then I guess my second question would be, does it sound like something you would play?

I am happy to inform, I am creating a Red Dawn style SP mission. After i get all the bugs worked out I will make into a multi player version. One question. Should there be AI. I mean will it make it better. Or should it be PVP. I am also gonna make it like there was a nuke set off. So no electronics. No laser guided missiles no vehicles. no GPS, no drones. pure survival. Not like wasteland. Tell me what you think

This would be a really great idea in all honesty, I would love it so much if you could finish this. If I may make a few suggestions, make it as free roam as possible (let the player choose where to go, but maybe add side missions), also make it last as long as possible, maybe even endless if you don't complete the last mission?

I've thought about making a Red Dawn mission (not mod). I have not because I don't know how to make the data be persistent, so everything wouldn't be wiped at server restart.

You MUST include a "Wolveeerrinnnnness!" victory cry. :)

If a server admin wanted the mission to maintain another way is to run the server itself in persistent mode, which is persistent = 1;

Will this work with a non-dedicated server? Doesn't seem to me like it does.
