Autumn Leaves

Description:
Elite squad needs to search the woods for partisans and afterwards assault an airstrip with paratroopers.
This is still only alpha. After playing this mission over and over again more then 30 times I decided to go for a public alpha test in order not to get insane. Mission duration is cca 3 hours.


Features:
  • Atmospheric mission with variety objectives.
  • Hidden objectives.
  • Alternative end.
  • Custom music.


  • Installation:
    Put the .PBO file in your ArmA 2 directory Missions folder.


    Future plans:
    - Slovak dubbing.
    - Slovak text for czech version of ArmA 2.
    - Small outro.
    - improove the loading and overview images.
    - improove some oather stuff.


    Notes:
    This version was tested with ČSLA v2.25, however only once.

  • Added czechoslovak dubbing!
  • Changed the alternative end (the player now has to drive or move on foot back To Zelenogorsk base when the chopper crashes).
  • When the player completes every objectives and hidden tasks, he will receive a medal at the end.
  • Changed the face of Daniel Bishon to "face61".
  • Many more smaller improovements.

  • Changed some characters, so the mission is now compatible with ČSLA v2.26.
  • The mission doesn't require September 1939 mod anymore.
  • Some units are now sitting instead of crouching.

    Great long mission with many tasks, nice music. I have only small suggestion, you could add savegames when we complete each objective.
    I have 1 problem: we have task to clear silently Point Nzvezda, ok I completed that task but few minutes after i destroy east AA i have red text that Nzvezda task failed and info "You are detected" and mission was failed. Now i must start from begining. :(

    Thanks! Im planing to add autosaves, in fact I think I will go do it right now and release version 0.2 soon ;-)
    Hmmmm I had similar problem with point Nadezda. Its probably a ingame bug :-( I have a feeling it happens when you left a member of your squad there, so make sure you left it clear. In a game like ArmA its always best to save your game progress manualy, even if it autosaves. That way you can prevent situations like this ;-)

    Im saving manualy to :) i was thinking ok, silent aproch failed maybe they send reinforcements and i didn't load game after "You are detected". :)
    ps: in Nadezda we killed 2 guy and task was completed. When we move nort from from East AA, close to Nadezda my guys kill 1 men somewhere, few seconds after this task was failed-red text and mission was failed.
    Ps: you could readme file to archive.

    Theres your problem... The trigger activates when you are in it and are detected from anywhere on the map. Thats why the mission plan says its better to alsow sneak into the arfield. Maybe I will set the trigger to be deleted after task is complete in the future... maybe...

    Added 13 minutes later:

    Ive released small update Alpha version 0.2 for this mission.

    Changelog:

    Thanks for the update.
    One more question. Do you have maybe more missions for CSLA mod? I was trying to search some Czech and Slovak arma 2 sites/arma 2 community grups but i didn't find anything for CSLA mod. :(

    As I told you ... if is possible, avoid to use any on-map triggers and do the things via other scripted checking.
    If it's not possible or you don't know now how to do it, after the succeeded task just set zero (0,0) size to the trigger -eg. spinac1 setTriggerArea [0,0,0,FALSE];
    But this is only the example.

    Thats from September 1939 mod. If you have this addon, it changes one regular russian civilian to a soviet soldier. I will try to fix this in the upcoming patch. Sorry for a very late reply.

    Im proud to annouce, that I have released Beta version 0.5 of this mission with dubbing.

    Changelog:
