i would love to know if having a dual core will make a big difference on the game...let alone quad core...

so far i think only the UT3 is benefited from quad core....but i will need more convincing of the benefits in arma2 of a quad core...

how are you running 3gb of ram on vista 32 bit?..it only will go upto 2 gig..very strange :con

i know this because i've tried and it doesn't work.

well looks good for me not having to upgrade..but i know there system requirments it prob means it will just run on them lol

Minimal specs:
* Dual Core CPU
* 512 MB RAM
* GPU with Shader Model 3 and 256 MB RAM
* Windows XP or Windows Vista

Does this mean i need to have a Dual Core to run the game, or will my old Pentium4 3 GHz work? My specs can meet the other requirements but not that one

I dont think you will need to buy it if you dont want to, the game will probable run anyhow.
However if they make Arma 2 use dual core technolgy and/or even Quad core I guess with a P4 you wont get really far in matters of performance.
This game has always been a CPU demanding one, so if you go well below minimum specs I fear your game wont run that well.

But all this is pure speculation, we will need the actual game before we can say something about it :)

There is no doubt that probably 90% of us will probably will have better computers by the time this game comes out, so I don't think there's anything to worry about!

I will probably have over the optimal specs by next year :)so in 2015??? I've been making major upgrades to my computer at least once a year.

You must be crazy to even buy a top spec game in 7 years time if you was gonna use it on a p4?! :laugh

Anyway, that's my opinion. :)

edit: woops! i put 2015, but says 2009.. :S

I have never had any problems of that kind whit Arma so i hope it will run OK

2015 lol, where did u get that from? I actually think that Arma2 wil be considerd an old and crappy game then
