After I played a bit last night I woke up today only to find my headphones no longer gives any sound.
I have no idea what the hell is going on.

* The soundcard works cause right now I am listening music coming from the reciever connect to my sound card.
* I played a game and those sounds are being played through my speakers as well.
* I connected the headphones to my reciever and than I can hear music.

Just not a single computer sound (game/music/video) plays through my hearphones anymore.

I have checked all my settings but as far as I can tell they are the same as always and so it should work.............
Anyone has any clue whats going on?
Maybe I should try if reinstalling soundcard drivers helps?

So the headphones doesn't work just in your pc?.

Did you try to plug them also at teh back of the PC or just in those (mic+phones) all cases have in front?
Could be that this plug is broken, my mic one in front never worked but at the back directly on the soundcard plugs it does.

Ok, after hours of searching I fixed the problem.

In my windows mediaplayer there is also an option where you can select what device to use to play sounds..........in there the wrong device was choosen :wtf
Since when does mediaplayer overwrites your hardware settings? And most important why is the entire computer infected by that :wtf
I dont even understand why the options has been set to that.........I sure didnt do it.

Shit this sucks, I spend I dont know how many hours of checking my settings and searching the net for solutions.
But at least..............I have sound again :yes

I found this can also happen when you disconnect/connect usb devices, although I don't know the exact circumstances. I reconnected my 360 contoller, and the controller was assigned as default audio device! I fixed it in \Sound Audio Devices\ Audio tab\ playback default device.
