~S~ ALL,

Bacically. I downloaded and unzipped this mod into my program(86)/steam/steamapps/arma directory. I restarted the game and selected play. All I get is an error message;

"You cannot play/edit this mission; it is dependent on downloadable content that has been deleted.JS_JC_FA18"

I believe that I did all the right steps? Can someone help me and give me some advise?

Thanks in Advance, Bluewolf

It seems you forgot to turn off caps lock in your keyboard.

Please change all you have written to lower case.
Cilck edit in your post, then advance edit message and change also the title to lower case.

Are you sure you installed it right? In every download page there are instructions to show how to install mods.

Post exactly the folder structure and files to see what you did.

Thanks for helping. One thing I can tell you is I initially unzipped to program(86)/steam/steamapps/common/arma directory. I notice when I opened windows explorer; the addon was in the arma, and not the arma/addon directory. Should I move this mod into the addon sub-directory?

My Launch options in arma3 are set as follows; -mod=@mod_CBA_A3;@mod_KSG12;@mod_UUA3a_Scopes;@mod_m107;@mod_Ghillie;@mod_M82A2;@mod_fhq_accessories;@mod_fhq_m4_a3;@mod_JS_JC_FA18

Thanks, Jim

You do never install custon content in the Arma/addons folder, never! That is a receipt for big troubles later on or soon after.

In this case place the "@JS_JC_FA18" folder inside your root Arma 3 folder (where the exe is as well) and change the reference you placed in your modline to "@JS_JC_FA18".

~S~,

Pretty Sure that I have all done right, in installing this mod.

One thing that I have noticed is when I go in game; under configurations/expansions; all the expansions that I have installed are there, but I can't enable/disable them as the buttons do this are greyed out as well as the up/down buttons. the CBA one is on top and does appear in the game; do I need to enable/disable each mod individually in the configure/expansions screen? I can't do that now as the control buttons are not available.

Any help most appreciated,

bluewolf_714

Delete your arma3.cfg file (in my documents/arma3/your username) and see if that helps.
You could back it up somewhere so you can place it back if it does not help.

~S~,

Hello,

New to ARMA3. Do you have to manually activate the installed mods? I go to the options/configure/expansions screen; the enable/disable and up/down buttons are greyed out and non-functional; looks like all my mods show up in this screen, but how do I know which mod is enabled or disabled. One mod in particular does not work; JS_JC_FA18? Do I need to rename the mod, to get it to work?

This is the Steam version; my "set launch parameters line is set; -mod=@modname_X;@modname_X; etc.

Any help most appreciated.
