Hey everyone,

Sorry if this topic is in the wrong place as I am new to this. Anyway, my question is how do I spawn into a mission with a mod weapon? I have recently installed a few weapon mods to my Arma 2 game and only one of them has the scripts on the page for spawning with the weapons, the other mod descriptions are just the weapon names and the don't work in the editor script. The only way I can use them at the moment is to spawn the ammo box with it in, but this isn't very realistic or helpful when trying to make a mission, I want to start the mission with a mod weapon chosen and in my hands.

Sounds like you already know the proper syntax how to add weapons/ammo to a unit. So, all you need to do now is change the classname in that particular syntax to the classname of the weapon/ammo you wish to add to the unit.
Classnames are often found on the downloadpage or if to many in the included readme.

Yes I do know how to give units weapons and ammo etc, but the pages don't contain the correct in game weapon names, just there names in real life (MP5 for example). I can't seem to find a read me, and when I go into the mod documents they are just pages of shapes and letters (the game code for the mod I guess).

To spawn in a weapon you need to know the name of the weapon in game, the game uses different names than in real life. For example where a weapon in real life could be called "Mk17 Sniper SD", to spawn it in game you have to type in "SCAR_H_LNG_Sniper_SD" which is the in game name for it and that is how the game recognises the weapon. Therefore my problem is that on the mod pages they have put the name in real life and no in game name to the weapon which means when I try to script a weapon the game rejects it as wrong.

No worry now! I have found the right in game names for all the weapons, I went to the original forum post of the mod when it was released and they are all listed there.
