I would like to officially introduce sykoCrazy's and I current project the [MELB] Mission Enhanced Little Bird. A project we have been working on and off for a few months.

Since the model is finally taking shape, we would like to share a little teaser with the community. What has taken the most amount of time is getting all of the most current pictures, weapons, and capabilities to begin to create the most accurate helicopter our abilities will allow.

This project is meant to represent the latest and most current version of the MH-6M and AH-6M special operations helicopter.

This is fantastic so far. I am very impressed with what you have done here.

As a former Night Stalker I have seen these machines up close and the level of detail is phenomenal. Only bug I have really seen so far that isn't already on your list is that when the helicopter is empty, it sits skids on the ground, but when I get in, it pops up and sits with the skids a foot or so above the ground.

Keep up the good work, and I am very much looking forward to the finished product.

That issue was a bad configuration of the Advanced Flight Model on our end, it's been fixed on the latest update.

You're very welcome. I don't have any flight time in those machines but I am a helicopter flight instructor with over 1200 hours in helicopters, so if you want or need input on realistic flight characteristics I am willing to assist development. If not I certainly understand.

Sorry for the late response, you should try redownloading the mod,no one else has reported this issue. I just downloaded and tested directly from armaholic with no issues.

What about an IR laser from the pilots perspective? Maybe either from the nose camera/FLIR cam for marking tagets? Or maybe one giving a direct view from the front for gun runs at night? Either way I friggin love this thing and am stoked for the next update!

Hi

From the looks of it i am going to love this mod, but i need a bit of help.
it is embarrassing but i can´t get it started. I added the "mod folder from the download to both steamapps/Common/arma3 as well as Dokument/arma 3 next to the saved folder... Semmed strange but anyway. I added the folder in steam and i can see the mod when i launch the game, both in the Arma 3 launcher and as a puzzle note.

Can not find the MELB under scenarios or multiplayer so how do i launch?

MELB is not a mission, it is simply an addon for the helicopters you see.

Which are accessible through the editor "Nato>Air>" or the Vehicle Garage

I understand, sorry.

Is there no way of opening a "game" like in the video, where i can testfly all of the helicopters? I have been training as much as i get time to and i really want to get flight time with your helicopters outside the VR environment. But i have never tried the editor..

Is there any mission/scenario or otherwise i can download or find which will enable me to test the helicopters in a solo in game variant?

Only looking for a very simple testflight, no other players or advanced functions, just flyin.
Anything i can do?

and it should appear in scenarios :)

I don´t know what you did to these helicopters but you made my experience immensely more enjoyable, they handle like a dream. THANK YOU i shall fly no other helicopter or a very long time!
Haha space weapons is always cool for when you get bored :)

Will i be able to choose between the choppers you designed?

All the current helicopters are available in front of you when you spawn in. If you need others you can spawn them in using Zeus (Y)

But they are all there to start off with, it'll be easier just to restart the mission if you die/crash

hey all,
Great mod. I love the tiny bird. I just got a few newbie questions regarding how to lock on to target using laser and fire hellfire missile in a single player mission where i am the both the pilot and gunner (if possible). no body wants to fly me around :(
here is what i tried.
got on the heli as a gunner.
pressed the 'g' key to flip open the flat screen panel (monitor)
right click to enter optics mode (full screen). Is there a way to do this without going full screen and seeing things on the flat screen panel (monitor). because in full screen i can no longer fly the heli.
was able to swtich between dtv/flir/nv by pressing the 'N' key
i think i was able to lase the targets by 'F' key until laser was selected and then clicking the left mouse button.
I take it next i should be able to swtiching to hellfires and again clicking the left mouse button, correct? once fired, should not have to keep the laser cursor on the target right?
I have ACE3 installed. it has the Ctrl-L for switching to Laser/NV and 'tab' key to lase targets, but that didn't work for me. is it supposed to be that way?
also as a gunner when i take control of the heli i can no longer move the optics camera around with the mouse any more.

Ideally i would like to get in as a gunner. take controls. turn on (flip open) the flat panel. swtich to FLIR without going fullscreen screen. use the mouse to independantly move the optics camera. lase target. swtich to hellfire and fire away. is it possible?

Just wanted to add:
I had PIP disabled in the video config hence the reason for the flat panel monitor not being active. once PIP enabled i was able to see things in the flat panel without having to right click and go into full screen. However i would still like to be able to:
As a gunner:
fly helicoptor (doable by taking control)
switch between DTV, FLIR, NV without having to right click (be in the fullscreen mode).
zoom in and out in flat panel optics without have to right click (be in the fullscreen mode)
move the optics camera around while taking control of the helicopter. I am able to take control of the camera when not taking control of the helicopter
All help will be appreciated. Great mod!

I've never tried this but hypothetically this would work.

Laze target (left click) switch weapon, select target (T) and then fire hellfire. The lazer will continue to track your crosshair even with the hellfire selected.

Note. You will have to continously track the target after firing. Why? Because the hellfires are locking onto the laser not the target. So they track the laser at all times, basically you can use them as a TOW if you please.
