So, since I cannot seem to find a proper place to put this topic where enough people might actually see it, I figured putting it here couldn't hurt.

Nostalgia, and seeing this post by Jeza:

# Jeza : Throwback Thursday 2007.....Everything and one was sooo much better then

have made me miss ArmA 1 more and more, and I just like to reminisce about the best ArmA game in the series. The ArmA 1 days were the golden days, no, it was the golden age of the ArmA community. ArmA 2 was pretty great, and ArmA 3 is as well, but in my experience with ArmA 1, 2, and 3, ArmA 1 was where I saw the most creativity, drive, and passion from mission makers, addon/mod makers, players and myself all alike. I'd just like us ArmA veterans to take a moment and remember, post pictures of, and discuss the good times. Cheers, everyone, it feels like an old friend has died, when I think of this game, I hope I am not the only one who remembers it so fondly.

Heh, I love OFP, as well, but nothing stuck to me the way ArmA did.

I totally feel nostalgic about the older ArmA titles. Even ArmA 2. Sometimes I'll come across a picture of a ArmA map and just look at the different areas remembering all the different things that I did here and there.
I'll think about the big tank rush down the hill at zelenogorsk while people sang theme songs in TS lol. I remember messing around near green mountain, setting up massive AI battles until my PC couldn't take it any longer. Every single spot on those maps I can probably dig up some memory or story that goes with it.

Good times man, good times.

I am very macho.

I can absolutely relate. I still launch ArmA: Gold and play around from time to time. Mixing ECS mod with Project RACS has made for some fantastic combat scenarios.

# lawndartleo : Sahrani for ever!

Absolutely. Sahrani is my favorite BI map.
