I'm working on a mission where 2 small ranger units must hold off waves of militia attacking from the hills. Everything works fine except the end with the helicopter extraction. Without enemy AI it works fine, the ai move to their respective areas and when the helicopter hits a delayed trigger the AI are ordered into the black hawk, which witch waits at the LZ until all troops are on board. However when enemy ai are present the rangers do not get on the chopper, they seem to ignore the get in waypoint the trigger gives them. Is there a script i can use to bypass this? I know there are plenty of hit lz's in missions so i know it can work. I just need the rangers to high tail it to the chopper when it touches down. Any help appreciated.

set their behavior to careless and combat mode to blue (never fire).

unfortunatley this does not work, they continue fighting and the helicopter eventually flies away despite the fact i disabled its movement with a trigger. do you know any example missions with something i could look at to see how other people do it?

They're quite complicated but nails it when you got it right, otherwise, completely disabling AI might help.

Arma needs a "do what I tell you NOW"button for both commanding AI in-game and for the editor.

Agreed, sometimes its near impossible to get them to do what you want. The guys in mine are supposed to run to the helicopter as soon as it lands, but instead they ignore it. I have tried all kinds of things like disable ai, get in carless, etc, with no luck.

thanks i'll try it out when i get a chance. Already tried disable ai/never fire with no luck.

You can also try these 2 things which I read about:

-Change to a different formation and regroup again might reset the danger mode,
-Units seems to call "clear" and move normally after the 2menu target list is empty. Maybe you can script it to become empty and not refill?
