You should really try ECS and XAM Mod combined with SLX. That what I use and it is amazing.

When I first downloaded SLX mod it had a red dot crosshair when you use the M4 Aimpoint. Now when I use it there is no crosshair. Anyone know what happened?

i would like to know which file(s) of the slx mod causes a fire fight to last longer?

(makes the AI shoot at my surroundings, not dfirectly at me)

fun fact: you get peace by war, you get war by peace

I was testing this mod, using different combinations of PBOs trying to get rid of the slowdown. For some reason, the slowdown only occurs when vehicles are present and when there is a firefight. I thought it was the smoke from the exploding vehicles, so I took out slx_cloud.pbo. It wasn't that. I then used nothing but AI dispersion, anims, voices, enginestart, findcover, gl3, misc, modpeople, reloadshout, shout, and wounds. There was still a slowdown. I'm starting to conclude that the slowdown comes from the AI, since it takes a large amount of processing for each unit.

The readme contains descriptions of what each PBO file does. If you want great AI, you'll need findcover, gl3, and wounds. You might also want AI dispersion to make AIs less accurate based on their skill.

EDIT: Removing slx_modpeople.pbo considerably reduced the slowdown, but I liked it because it gave soldiers more health.

SLX mod is great love all the realism settings but one small prob when ever i place a single man not in a squad in the editor he always runs off to hide in a enterable building in happens to every man not in a squad.

That happened to me for so long. Then it just stopped. But I think my problem was caused by 1.14

try removing the AI files from either one - they both alter AI so they could be conflicting

Hi,

I have downloaded the SLX Mod and installed it as instucted. But when I load up I get an error saying cannot find some M113 file, then the splash screens comes up and it gives me an "Arma has experienced an error and has to close" message. I have noticed that when I clicked on the the start slx bat it only opened some box for like 1 second. Is that right?

Don't bother with the bat file, Just put the SLX folder in the ArmA Dictionary and then in the Target line of the shortcut, type @SLX.

Nope, still doesnt work. Says cant open sls_pbo/m113.pbo something, and then gives me the error send report.

Using version 1.14 of Arma.

[addon]
"C:\Games\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA\arma.exe" -nosplash -mod=@JTD;@SLX;@ECS

That is my exe line.

Sorry for the double post.
