Of course I have to follow up. :)

A quickie I assure you.

W0lle:
Post v1.02 Updates
Google Drive Folder
All files have the build date in their filenames.

I notice under that Google link (this file): cwr2_v102_beta2.rar

Is that file the same as the one listed here?

W0lle:
And now, here's what you've been waiting for:
CWR² v1.02 @ arma2.fr
CWR² v1.02 @ armaholic.com
CWR² v1.02 @ Google Drive

Cheers! Lot more to download.

- np

ps(edit): I probably should start keeping a spreadsheet with the release dates of the 'updates' I am installing. Unless there is an easier way to keep track.

Yes it is.
If you want to be sure to have the latest versions, Google Drive is the place to look at. If I upload fixes, then only there. The next version that will hit arma2.fr/armaholic.com will be v1.03, but I don't think that will happen this month.

No need for a spreadsheet, or tracking at all. Just make sure to either check the Google Drive every here and then for new versions, or follow me on twitter as all updates are linked there too.

Ok, got it. Thanks!

I have a separate @CWR2 Winter 'mod folder'. Should I keep it that way? Meaning when I installed it originally, that was the folder that was in there and zipped up "@CWR2 Winter". But now, just noticing in the docs of 'winter', it says:
"Installation: To install the expansion, open the downloaded .zip archive and extract/copy the included @CWR2 folder into your ARMA 2 installation folder."

Yes, @CWR2_Winter was the old one for v1.01. With 1.02 it's obsolete now cause all Expansions for that version will go into @CWR2_V102.

Must admit that it's all a bit messy for now with two versions around. *CRAZY*

It's all good, thanks for the answers! Not too many mods I care to q&a for thoroughness, but this one is worth it.

Thanks for the hard-work and sharing.

Alright, here is Cold War Rearmed² v1.02a. This new version will be the last one for quite some time. There might be updates and fixes but you can consider this one stable. A changelog is included in the archive and can also be seen here.

I will not fix any nonsense or nitpicking glitches in this version anymore. If something is not perfect, then that's the way it is. Of course I will fix gamebreaking - read again : gamebreaking - issues. If I can reproduce them that is. Mysterious 'bugs screwing up missions' which are reported without rpt and mission files are simply ignored and considered spam.

With this new version, all others have been removed and became obsolete. I will not support any version except this one. If you decide to stick with a previous one, you're on your own now.

This version is hosted exclusively at our website, here at armaholic.com and MEGA. Any other mirrors are inofficial and I can not guarantee that downloads from other sources than the ones above are up to date or genuine.
Cold War Rearmed² must not be mirrored at arma2base.de - if you find this version there, please contact us immediately, thanks!

Also with this version, the version numbers for the Expansions are gone. They now are using the build date as version (in format ddmmyy). If you run into an Expansion with a version number in the filename, ignore it as it is most probably not compatible with CWR² 1.02.

Please note: The previously released Expansions are still compatible (of course) but I'm currently uploading new builds plus two new ones. The Winter terrains have not changed at all, so you don't have to download that one again.

See the downloads page at our website for the download, armaholic mirror is coming anytime soon.

Thanks W0lle! .. now for some q's .. 8-)

From your site: http://cwr2.arma2.fr/downloads/

You mention, "Everything you need to play is in below Downloads, there is no need to keep any of the old files." I'm really questioning the word "any".

Does this mean that 'none' of these need to be installed after we install 1.02a? [the red one is obvious to not utilize]

I believe on your site, you mention that 'winter can be installed'.

Please advise.

All the files in your "CWR2 - Main" sections are obsolete now because they are all in v1.02a.

The terrains you could keep, but I suggest you download them again too. This is beause in 1.02 there were two broken (and thus invisible) buildings. So to make sure there are all buildings in the towns, it might be better to download all of them again.
This does not apply to the Winter terrains because I need to check them first for missing buildings, and if there are any I need to repack them all again. So if you need the Winter terrains, keep them.

The Expansions can be kept too if downloading the many, huge files is a problem for you. Only minor things has been changed there. E.g. NL had missing GPMG sounds, VDVs have their shoulder straps removed etc.

So in general, if bandwith is no problem for you: Dump them all and grab everything again. :-)

Everything you download from our Website is the very latest build. And you can add 01/09/16 to all terrains as well.

Thanks Fox! You're quick as always. :-)

Please note that the Italians have been updated just now cause their release turned into a tragedy. Actual build is 110116 available here.

West German Army eventually will get an update too cause I fear their static MILAN will not work as supposed. We will see.

Nope mate, the remark is solely directed at me who screwed the poor Italians up real bad. :-)

Email with all Expansions will follow in a few minutes as I'm just done with uploading the last two missing pieces.
