Closed alpha was conducted over the weekend. Just going to fix remaining issues with the USEC C130 prior to release as an alpha.

rachio : "The idea of this was to create a map that would be stable across days and/or weeks. Our longest map operation was creating a base, as part of Operation Green Field, and lasted over seven days."

The map would spawn things, and remove them, as they were not needed. For example, 10 C130's were available for use, but unless you had gone to Air Command and signed one out - there were none on the map... simply a variable on the server telling it that 10 C130's were available. If you signed one out, it would know 9 were available, and if you returned it - back to 10... and so on.

The same went for enemy. Occasionally enemy would be spawned to attack bases, and once they had succeeded/failed - they would be removed.

The mission in Operation GREEN FIELD was to barricade the city Bangango and defend it from an enemy. It took a few days to build the defenses, and then we held it for several more. The enemy didn't attack when there were no players on the server.

We used Sahrani. You can set a server to "persistent" which leaves the map going when no players are on the server. Its a simple config setting.

We've been conducting a closed alpha, just to iron out some issues. I tend to take a break for a few days right at the end of developing an addon, as it makes it easier to stop mistakes creeping in. I'm away for the weekend, when I get back I'll address what remaining issues I can and release it.

icemotoboy : I'll be adding pretty much all of the dials, anything I miss will be in texture.

I'm considering my next project as well.... either a:

* P-3 Orion
* B-52
* B-1B

Any ideas? Funny enough, I prefer flying the smaller aircraft but I wanted to pick something that hasn't already been modeled in ArmA. If anyone can think of any useful small jet aircraft they'd like to see in ArmA that hasn't already been done, please let me know. Would LOVE to have tried my hand at an F16!

I'd love to see a surveillance plane operated by a pilot like the U2S which apparently is still used today to confirm satellite data and for ELINT.

Your request should be made in the addon request section since icemotoboy clearly stated he wanted to know about small plans. I dont call the U-2 small ;)
