Your CPU seems to be a bit weak for ArmA 3, I think. But it should not do something like that. I've only basic stuff to suggest to you, but sometimes it's good to double-check the most simple things :

- is ArmA running as Administrator ?
- have you tried to disable your antivirus software before starting the game ?
- have you tried to configure the various startup parameters allowing theoretically you to explicitly give to the game the number of CPU cores you want to use ? (theoretically because since approximately ArmA 1.40 theses parameters don't seems to have any effect anymore on performances...)
- is your hard drive in a good condition ?
- are your graphical settings high enough ? Various graphical parameters in ArmA are managed by the GPU, but if you set up theses options at a low level the game consider that you think your GPU is too weak and make the corresponding option managed by the CPU instead. Which means sometimes you'll have lower performances with low graphical settings. Seems strange but that's how it works...

johnnyboy1104 - please do not do that, crossposting/duplicate posting is not allowed. I know you had no reply on the other one but its still no reason for you to ignore our rules. I have removed the other post.

Information of running ArmA 3:

OS: Windows Vista SP2 or Windows 7 SP1
Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce 8800GT or AMD Radeon HD 3830 or Intel HD Graphics 4000 with 512 MB VRAM

Free Disk Space: 15 GB

Arma III Recommended Requirements
CPU: Intel Core i5-2300 or AMD Phenom II X4 940 or better

Check out this site and let it test your system to see if its ok to run ArmA 3. I know it says recommended GPU is a 560 but that is at very low settings, what are you running your game at when your CPU goes crazy?
