So I've been working on adding more immersion to our groups missions and was trying to set up a new briefing area for us. Using UserTextures and setObjectTexture commands to throw up pictures of our targets and such. A pic of what I'm trying to do:

I was wondering if its even possible to add the map to the same spot? That way, squad leaders could start making their insertion lines and way points and it would show up on the "monitor" for the rest of the group. Granted, they could easily just open their own maps and solve this entire problem but this was just too interesting of an idea for me to not pursue...

You could display a static map of the current island there, but it won't be the map. So drawings and markers of players won't actually show up on it. AFAIK there is no way to do it without ~5 bazillion unnecessary tricks.

Sometimes I like to think as I started the whole "earplugs" thing.

W0lle: The only advice I can give you is: Do not try to understand BI. You will not succeed and it only makes your brain go boom. I would even go so far and say that not even they understand their own actions :-D.

Or you can display a RscMiniMap (GPS) findDisplay 133 with a modded alpha texture to 1 (non transparent). It's a bunch of work. you can obtain an actualized map with markers if you enable the enhanced map feature. (but not working on it!)
Here the scale is small but you can have the whole map (to be tested) or at least a huge area.
