OK Armaholics, I have searched high and low looking for info on how to get createVehicleCrew to function properly. My problem should be a simple one to fix:

I have a mission where we start on the USS Freedom. I have a fleet of other ships around the carrier. I would like the player to be able to jump into one of these empty ships and spawn the missing crew members (via drive-through trigger), because we know the AI does not like movement on the aircraft carriers. Thanks for the help!

EDIT: I should note, that I would prefer the spawned crew members to be their own group, so they can stay and crew the ship while the player (and his own AI squad) is performing operations on land.

I managed to solve this. After messing around for hours the answer ended up being simple. I love when that happens. anyway here was my solution if it help anyone down the road:

I made a trigger, and set the activation to radio alpha. In the activation field I have:

ExecVM "scripts\FillCrewA.sqf";

FillCrewA.sqf:

createVehicleCrew (vehicle Player1);

In FillCrewA.sqf "Player1" is the players variable name. To use the Fill Crew function simply use the radio commands in game (0, 0, 1). Works great in my tests so far. This can probably achieved more elegantly without the script but this was the easiest for me to set up at this point.
