Currently no I'm sorry to say. You'll have to run that mission sans ACE for now.

The startup sequence messes up the AI, especially when you are not the leader, and makes them bail out. I've discussed this with the devs, they're trying to find a solution. With luck, ACE 1.10 will have a fix to this issue, but no promises.

hi again. Loving the mod - fantastic work. I seem to have an issue that as a gunner in cobra or apache I don't get the action menu mentioned in the features - "Instead, use your action menu to select your weapons. Select “Overlay On” to activate the MFD overlay" Any ideas? Thanks again

Is the mission using ACE's choppers? Don't think you'll get the ACE menu actions with a stock bird.

hi
It's using ACE chopper. Seems to work but only on one chopper at a time (ie can't team switch to another gunner and have that functionality.

cheers

That sounds odd. You might concider reporting this as a bug if you can reliably reproduce this. Mention the patch levels of ArmA and of ACE, the mission ( include it if something you rolled up ) and especially any other mods you are using.

Just recently downloaded your mod and I am enjoying it a great deal. Unfortunately I have run into a bit of a hitch in the Campaign mod though. In the mission Bridges of Dolores, I get some sort of error, something about parachute or backblast, regardless I can't seem to get the bridge to blow up. Also I notice the officer tells me to place the charge(s) under the bridge, yet I am only equipped with one. Is anyone else having this issue. It is with the latest patch 1.09.

Playing the stock solo missions with ACE is dicey stuff since they were never meant to be played with a mod like ACE. All I can suggest is when a mission become impossible due to ACE changes in the balance of play, don't use ACE for that mission.

If you are using a launcher tool like ArmA Launcher it's very easy to switch ACE on and off. I'd highly recommend that for when you play solo missions.

How would I go about turning it on and off. I have multiple icons on my desktop relative to ArmA "Queens Gambit" ACE Mod ACE Mod (Beta) ACEIP ect, but I have tried all of them and they all give the same error.

There is a set specific way to turn off ACE even while the files are still present? That would be outstanding, I was afraid would have to do a reinstall of everything again.

[edit]
Ok I have found the way to disable ACE through the target box.

But now I am in the EXACT situation I was in before all of this started. The whole reason I downloaded ACE which I explained in my other post (which is now closed for some reason) was so that I could play with the VOP sound mod. Now that I have disabled ACE since you can't play the SP game with it, I can no longer use VOP.........

So my new question is this thread even though it does not pertain to the thread (again since my other thread was closed) how do I get VOP to work in Vanilla ArmA. The instructions in the read me only talk about ACE, there are Vanilla files included in the VOP download, but I do not know how to install them to where they will work. Evil can you help me out here?

Please do not double post. If you need to add more/new info to your post you can use the edit button top right of your last post to edit it if its within such a short time.
I have merged many different double posts from you multiple times, it would be nice if you edit your post yourselve instead.
Thank you :) [/modedit]

I'd really recommend using a launcher tool to manage your mods vs. multiple shortcuts. It just gets to clumsy to manage well if you use more than 1-2 mods or add-ons. Search the downloads area and you can find a couple out there that are very nice.

Sorry, I've never used VOP so cannot say what your problem is there. I do know there are sound mods that interact very well with ACE - have heard the HiFi series ( now "HiFi Novus Aevum" ) has a good reputation.

I am fear.

I stumbled across Chammy's Sound Mod, and I must say it is very well done. I'm going to use it for a bit and then I'll try VOP out again.
