Do you have the explos.sqs file in your mission folder?

[BOMB1,"Bo_GBU12_LGB",1] exec "explos.sqs" goes in the activation field of the trigger.

[BOMB1,"Bo_GBU12_LGB",1] exec "explos.sqs"



i may have to save [BOMB1,"Bo_GBU12_LGB",1] exec "explos.sqs" to a text document in the mission folder under my user name.

Saving the command line in a text file really does not make sense at all as .txt files can be read.


All you need is the script file to be present in your mission folder.

Ok. Its not this complicated to make a bomb. All you have to do is name the object(car1) you want to explode when a player gets near it. Then make a trigger. In the trigger Condition put :

player distance car1 < 8;  

In the on act of the trigger put :

boom = 'R_57mm_HE' createVehicle position car1  

This will make any player set off the bomb inside the car when they are within 8 meters of it. If you want a certain player to only set it off name him and change the condition from player to the name of the unit.

You can also put

west distance car1 < 8;   

I havent tested this last part with the west but I dont see why it wouldnt work.
I hope this helps the people that are new to scripting.
