i have the same textures as what AD had
In all fairness, those were EddyD's textures for the hh60g, that I modified, wanted to clarify that so EddyD doesn't go "wtf?". I haven't used any of your stuff yet and because of time constraints I couldn't do Navy or Marine versions. Wanted to clear that up so there is no confusion as to who the contributors are. I do appreciate your enthusiasm in wanting to contribute though, and your willingness to share your work. ;)

EDIT: and actually I think DaveyGary busted out those textures from scratch, even more impressive.

oh really....there eddys one's! oh yeah ok..i have them too tho! but yeah your right...my bad AD i thought they were the seahawk textures(because there light blue, sorry should have looked closer, just like many other i was so amazed by his textures i just wanted to know if he would have a go) it was'nt till eaalier i noticed they were the eddyd's usaf one, and by that time i was at work....and couldnt change the post, again sorry man! if you want i can set up the navy and marine ones(with all paths done for you) and you can just simply add it to the existing pack! good day bud

hey ADuke, i have a problem! i have created an ah64d model, hopefully for arma 2, but don't know what to do next, with the scripting and applying textures etc, (i only know how to work on completed models with texture templates). any help would be greatly appreciated. here are the model pics i have so far!

Oh wow, no textures applied AT ALL?
OK well, you're about to jump into the deep end of the pool here if you know what I mean. The entire model will need to be UV mapped, uv mapping tells the model where in the texture the face is positioned, that make sense? It's going to take awhile but I've noticed with uv mapping that once you get to know how to do it, you can roll through it slow n' steady like a train. For info on the uv editor in oxygen go here and here. The way I would do it is to gather textures for each part that I want textured and then go to town uv mapping it.
There is a Longbow planned for the Operation Arrowhead expansion so it's up to you if you want to make one, it would just be sad for you to go through all that trouble and then BOOM! BIS releases theirs and the addon you worked so hard on gets left in the dust.
Good luck, let me know if you need any other help.
In other news..
Does anyone notice any texture bugs in the current version of my helo pack where the spotlights should be?
yeah the reason i have carried on with my version is because i can edit mine and also release an editable version for the arma community to play with! unlike bi who will keep us waiting for a long time for any help!

Oh cool, very thoughtful of you, sounds like a fun project and a cool addon!
Stewy :
These are great choppers ADuke - Thanks for all of your hard work with them mate.
I'm not that crazy about the "glossy" ArmA2 style texture though - is there an easy way to not have it?
Thanks Aduke mate
Cheers
Stew
You could open the pbo, open the rvmat files with Eliteness and change the "Specular Power" until you get a value that you like. I am unable to make new versions right now because I have switched over to the new tools, or so I hear that is how it works.
I don`t know if only i have this bug, but when i press fast rope not only my squad is fastroping, but also with it goes down all the crew. Can you plesae tell me what am i doing wrong?
Same thing happend to me, only in ArmA 2, that happend to grey-legolas. I flew a 160th SOAR MH-60K ERFS and had 2 gunners, my friend was in the cargo with a few AI. When he fast-ropped my gunners joined him in roping down..
The fast-rope issue is a known bug and ADuke is working on it with some help from, I believe, the original FR scripter, Norrin. Again, info/updates about the Arma2 version are in this thread:
EDIT: I was originally under the impression that the fast-rope issue was only an Arma2 issue but, based on a demo mission I just created, it's definitely a problem with the ArmA version. I wonder if this will be fixed or if all efforts are not targeted towards the Arma2 version. I have Arma2 but it would be wonderful to have fast-ropes working in both versions.

1. Fixed error messages like this... "Cannot load material file ad_helos\textures\mh60k\rvmat\mh60_3_co.rvmat"
2. Fixed glass anomalies above co-pilot seat
3. Removed gloss effect in material files
Unfortunately the fastroping isn't going to be changed anytime soon, the original scripters have moved on to ArmA2 scripting because it works a lot better and isn't as problematic with the new scripting commands.

Sorry for the delay but my work is crazy last few months (I can only post news in the evening/night) and I guess the others were busy too.
I have made a news announcement about the updated release and updated our mirror :thumb
