This City Life RPG is an Online RPG built on the Armed Assault 2 engine offering an online community for you to enjoy.
Our system is built by our development team for free and over a long peirod of time making it one of the longest running free online ArmA RPG communitys

Hi All, as we are coming close to the finishing touches to The City Life MOD for ARMA 2 I will put a WIP thread.

Current Features from our 1.35 release to ARMA 2

-Changed: Nearly all dialogs redone.
-Changed: New, Faster navigation of stats,actions,etc.
-Changed: Tickets are now preset through interaction menu.
-Changed: Map completely revamped.
-Changed: Players must go through tests for pistol,rifle, and driver license.
-Changed: Special test where user can have pilot instructor job and grant other players a pilot license.
-Changed: Arrested players are now put in nearest vehicle and must be transported to the jail.
-Changed: new Jail with keypad.
-Changed: Stun System; it now plays a random animation and random sound.
-Changed: Buying Shop System, players now truly own the shop and no one can use it until it is purchased. (Players collect money from the shop buy using the shop-menu).
-Changed: Players now need a special weapon to gather some resources (Ex: an Axe to gather lumber).
-Changed: Players can now choose to skip or watch the intro locally (Selects from 1 of 3 intros and songs).
-Changed: Menu actions (Player must now look directly at the unit to get their menu interaction).
-Changed: Players can only use/drop/trade items if they have their hands down.
-Changed: Players can now Rent or Loan (Pay incrementely) vehicles.
-Changed: Checkpoint builder (Players can now raise and lower the objects and the dialog is now more quickly navigatable).
-Changed: EMTs and Cops start/spawn at different locations.
-Changed: Crown Vic light effects and fuel consumption.
-Changed: Map now supports 50 players (More units will be added).
-Changed: Shop names are now more creative.
-Added: Players can now give other players keys to their cars.
-Added: Money transfer from bank menu.
-Added: Money/Item transfer from Inventory Menu.
-Added: Skill system, players must interact to gain skills (Drive for Car Skill points, etc).
-Added: Login system with database stat save ( <3 you Kegs,ArMaTeC & Inventor ).
-Added: Government system where players can vote someone senator and senator can change laws.
-Added: New hint system which allows for multiple hints to be seen at once in different colors. (ArMaTeC & Inventor)
-Added: Players can now rob bank. (You must wait at the bank for 2 mins to recieve the money)
-Added: Players can now build their own shop and add/remove stock and change prices (Only items at the moment.)
-Added: Trunk system (Different vehicles have different max weights. Players can only take items if the vehicle is unlocked). (Special thanks: Inventor)
-Added: Max weight for players (Players will be put at last position if they are over max weight.)
-Added: Drunk System (Special Thanks: ArMaTeC).
-Added: Revive System (Unit can be dragged as well).
-Added: Delivery Jobs (Players get paid based on the distance.
-Added: Factory (Players can build new items).
-Added: Added new job system (Players get paid daily based upon if they choose to work or not by 'calling into work').
-Added: New respawn system (Players can now choose where they want to respawn based upon select points or if they own a house).
-Added: When a player dies, they can choose to go back to spawn and lose their items,money,etc or wait to be revived.
-Added: 1 AI Bus Driver who roams around town so players constantly have transport options.
-Added: New Items and functions.
-Added: Fare system for taxis/buses (Fare is accumulated as they drive and crew is charged upon the fare shutting off).
-Added: New weapons and vehicles.
-Added: Complete Police Database (Warrants,Compaints,Reports). (Special Thanks: Inventor)
-Added: View Distance Changer. (Special Thanks: ArMaTeC)
-Added: Tracking marker to player so they are more visible on the map. (Cops/EMTs can see other Cops.EMTs)
-Added: Anti Cheat systems and mod check (Player can only continue if they version of the mod is in check with the server's version).
-Added: Recognition (Press 'T' when aimed at player to see their name). (CREDITS: Spooner)
-Added: Storm System. (Special Thanks: Mandoble)
-Added: Player is locked if they do not log in.
-Fixed: Vehicle actions are added back after disconnect.
-Fixed: Improved performance by removing alot of loops.
-Fixed: Fully JIP compatible.
-Fixed: Players are now charged when they pay a ticket.
-Fixed: Time Skip now functions appropriately.
-Fixed: Mod now has many more (Almost all0 german translations.

Future Scripts to be implemented, (being worked on)

-For new user's they 'register' with a custom's sort of deal (Set's up their account and puts them in the police
database, etc.).

-For existing user's they can 'wake up' at their house?

-All user's will be given a 'registrar' which is like a passport and should be carried at all times.

-Multiple Jobs available around town (Each job has max amount of people who can have that job at one time, and how
many people currently have that job in the server).

-Multiple rooms/buildings available for rent/own around town.

-Businesses can be purchased/worked at, the shops stock, and employee wages must be managed by the owner and paid
from the Business Account.

-People have energy and need to sleep. Caffeine can give a small boost of energy, but no where near the quality of
sleep.

-Car purchasing will be from a catalog, or a small selection of vehicles at the dealership. Cars ordered from catalog
will take around a day to arrive.

-All vehicles will need to be registered to the player's name/id and will be given a license plate/registration num.

- Custom Police and Civ units with more cars etc..

I also forgot to mention ArMaTeC's Skateboard MOD was moved over for the civs, oh and Jesus :)

Features for this include a skate park and the user action to Olly around 3 mtrs high at random, so ollying over cop cars can be done, just watch the light bars :eek

CITY LIFE 2: MESSAGE SYSTEM

PLAYERS CAN SEND PM MESSAGES TO EACH OTHER IN-GAME USING THE CITYLIFE 2 MESSAGE SYSTEM. MESSAGES ARE READ/WRITTEN AT THE CITYLIFE 2 POST OFFICE, BUT PLAYERS ALSO GET INFORMED THEY HAVE A PM VIA THEIR MOBILE.

Of course, always welcome. I mean if we didn't Taylor it to the community's likening then who would play it?

That said, I'd wait until you play it 1st as it may already be implemented.

okay.. nice :)

i have alot of ideas, im at work right now so i will write a small part of it this time :)

the police force:

Police chief, with a fine uniform.
Police Patrole unit: armed with only a pistol and a baton.
Police Fast Response unit: ala SWAT, armed with a pistol and a MP5.
Police RIOT: Armed with a pistol and a baton, have a helmet with face protection, maybe a gasmask and shield.
Police K9: armed with a pistol a baton and have ofcouse have a dog :).
Please make the police unit a fiktiv unit, not US police or any other.
i have a uniform idea, how it could look, but that must wait :)

Rescue Units:

A firechief
A Firefighter
A Paramedic
A Ambulance, maybe a mercedes sprinter or a Ford transit.
A Firetruck, maybe a Scania or like it.

again a fiktiv unit, no US or other.

I don't think there are any pictures of it for City Life 2 so far, pop onto the city life website and snoop around a bit and you should find some piccies of the ambulance and paramedic from city life 1, which is effectively the same model as the one for City Life 2.

Failing that you can see some of the ambulance and paramedics in this video from City Life 1, which is filmed from the paramedics point of view.
