Hi guy's

Last night I recovered my pc.
And ArmA 2 was saved in my D drive which isn't recovered only C drive.
So when I try to play ArmA it give me that message

Bad Serial number given at setup.
I bought the game, not pirated cd key, and I need solution without re-installing the game if any.

What can I do? Can I find it in regedit and change it, or make one etc.?

I'm using Vista.

well i think you'll have to re-install, dont you have your CD key that came with the game?

from what a friend are telling me, it'd be easier to re install. he said this about aram2 but you talking about aram1 hummm

cd key needs converted the hexadecimal

in that format,

that's just an example not a actual key in hex

i guess you could try to convert the key to hex, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hexadecimal this link might help,

you'll still have to run the patchs i believe, be just as easy to re install, unless you cant find the cd key

You reinstalled windows right? So it no longer recognizes Arma and so you need to reinstall.

Yep, next time save you arma2 regkey

BTW if u have not got if fixed i just found a solution if u have fixed this tell people you know to try it
go to regedit HKEY_lOCAL_MACHINE then SOFTWARE then if you have a 32 bit system then look down that list for bohemia Interactive Studios if you have a 64 but sytem go to Wow6432Node then look for it then delete your ArmA 2 OA folder then reinstalled it worked for me :)

I am happy that you fixed your issue and I am really thankfull you actually think of sharing the solution with the rest of the community, however bumping a 3 year old thread is a bit to much I think :)
