I'm sorry if this sounds a bit harsh, but there is a lot to improve in this mission. First and foremost, the mission needs an objective, not only for the player to know what he has actually to do (a briefing screen would be nice explaining the situation) but also for the mission to end properly at some point (e.g. triggered by no enemy present in radius X).
Next big issue are the landing zones. You cannot land a Chinook in a small backyard. In several playthroughs the choppers never managed to come down properly, usually they are stuck halfway on a house. This leads to some soldiers injuring or killing themselves while getting out, others are stuck under the chopper and some just stay sitting inside the wreck. The insertion area is tactically bad as well, you are dropping the poor souls right into the enemy lines that are under fire from the friendly tanks, that are two certain ways to get killed too many. Better would be a drop off behind the tanks to support them, or to put the LZ on the other side of the town, somewhere near the crossroad to Kakaru. At least not so damn close to the enemy. Landing choppers are sitting ducks and can get shot down by every 5-year-old with a slingshot, certainly by determined Talibans with RPGs.
EDIT: I found our what the problem was, you need some invisible helipads to determine properly where they land, otherwise they just tend to come down always right in this darn backyard.
Apart from that, the performance is already not so great, so in order to save some CPU power, you better just delete the firefight in the quarry in the north and the patrols near the base, the player doesn't notice it anyway. Also it would be good to put a few medics in the teams.
But criticizing is easy, so I thought I should try a repair. Here's a modified version I made (including a bunch of minor changes), please take a look at it, I think this pretty much does what you intended:
