Sneak preview livestream of the new Arma 3 Eden 3D Editor

Bohemia Interactive released a video of the new 3D scenario editor, Eden Editor (a.k.a. Super Arma Maker) for Arma 3.

    Quote :
In the stream, Eden Editor Designer Karel Moricky and Arma 3's Creative Director Jay Crowe – supported by other members from the Arma 3 devteam - provide a first look at the new 3D scenario editor, demonstrate its features and improvements over the original 2D editor, and discuss some of the key design decisions. Plus, there's a small surprise at the end: the unexpected release of the Eden Editor's Public Beta.

    How to participate:
To participate in the Eden Editor Public Beta, Arma 3 players should switch to the Arma 3 Dev-Branch on Steam. This can be done by right-clicking on the Arma 3 app in the Steam Library, going to properties, select the BETAS tab, and then using the drop-down menu to select the Arma 3 development build. The game will then update and you are ready to go.

Players switching to Dev-Branch should be aware, however, that this build of Arma 3 will be updated every day to test freshest developments, fixes, and additions. It is an experimental and largely untested version of Arma 3, which contains data directly from individual team members as they work. Sometimes a part of this version can be completely broken. More information about Dev-Branch is available on the Arma 3 website.

The new editor will be made available to all Arma 3 players for free as part of a future platform update. The official release of the Eden Editor is expected in the beginning of 2016. If you have any questions about Arma 3 and/or the new editor, please do not hesitate to contact me. Enjoy the stream – and good luck with creating your own (military) scenarios!
