As some discussion did rise about how Arma 2 could look ingame on very high settings due to a previous Arma 2 preview
Dslyecxi stepped in to show the community how Arma 2 looks for him on 'very high' settings on the
BI forums.
No further info about his screen releases was given and although this is pure speculation I assume this is of a latest playable build and knowing
Dslyecxi from earlier postings the system he uses is that of high specs.
All Arma 2 screenshots which have been released so far can be found in our
Arma 2 screenshot gallery 1 and
Arma 2 screenshot gallery 2.

I turn the HUD off in Crysis so its more challenging! ;)
@Sgt.Hawkins- Trust me, I know what ArmA is, I've been playing it for a long time. And I am a mission editor, thats all I do! If only all games had mission editors like ArmA....That would be great.
And I KNOW ArmA 2 will be fun, its probably going to be my favorite game for a year or longer!
I was looking forward to OFP2 but it seems to of turned into BF2, and the graphics don't look that amazing.
I look foward to ArmA II more than OFP2.
So you guys don't have to dis me because I left a bad comment about your beloved ArmA II......I love ArmA and I cannot wait for ArmA II.
Oh btw, ALOT of people play Crysis. Its one of the funnest games I have ever played and the Editor is AMAZING! I love Crysis and I tried to make it as realistic as possible because I like the type of game ArmA is.
Crysis has a rechargeable health bar! :dozingoff
I totally agree with Sgt Hawkins. There two game (ofp, arma) and will be third (arma2) game in the world. these games are exclusive.
Enad If you are a fan of Crysis maybe you should look into OFP2 I hear it has Great graphics and even has a Health Bar just like Crysis (Im pretty sure Crysis Had a Health bar.) But Arma 2 is not that type of game its designed for mission editors and modders to take the Game to new heights that way it can be played 3-6 years from now. Honestly Who plays Crysis anymore??? Arma 2 might not be SHINY but I bet it will be fun and it will likely be fun for many years..
Ahhh!! OH MY GOD! I just wrote a whole goddamn paragraph responding to your comment Blackhawk and then all of a sudden it just reverts to the last page! And it deleted. Damn it. That took me like 15 minutes to write.
Ill sum it up.
I never said that there were no improvements, I was just disappointing with the visuals. But I dotn care, I love ArmA and ArmA II is gonna be awesome!
I had alot more but I dont wanna spend another 15 minutes re-writing it....:((:((
Erm, Mr.Enad, I'm not too sure if you can see those trees on the 3rd picture, from what I see they look visually stunning, and after 5 previews in a short amount of time that show the environment of the game from every angle, you're saying it's shitty?
Crysis has the best graphics still? Who says that? Or is it something you made up behind your computer. Crysis was a good game, but it felt nothing like the real world, a plastic shiny environment, this game replaces that with the gritty -get-the-mud-in-your-mouth sort of feeling of a Ex Soviet state.
Enad, stop BS'ing us, you are complaining, every damn review that comes out has your comments saying that this game is a Expansion pack and has very little to no improvement. There must be something wrong with your monitor if you cannot see that close of picture of a Hueys under belly.
ugh spelling mistakes
Honestly, you're talking about a game that was designed from the ground up to be beatiful (Crysis), then saying that ArmA II should look better than that, even though it is designed for huge scales of combat, hundreds of AI moving about ALL over the map, I bet that if you put on a massive map, hundreds of vehicles, AI etc on a crysis map, you'd be a tad disappointed, A: Because it's not designed for it, and B: Because crysis is a fast paced game and noone could test the theory about performance on that kind of scale.
ArmA II environment actually looks better than ArmA.. Don't understand where you're getting your info that it doesn't, and keep in mind, like I stated above, considering the detail on ArmA and ArmA II has always been in the combat and tactics, and Crysis was always designed to be a graphically intense game? I am not sure why you're comparing the two when it's obvious that it doesn't look "beautiful" or (so-called "realistic")
Im not complaining, I just wish that the game looks a bit better since its from 2009. If ArmA II had amazing visuals, it would add a whole new level to realism.
Ptolemaios: Im actually genuinely confused by hes comment. Not better graphics than Crysis, what kind of complaint is that?
No thank you to the fanboy accusation.
@sparks50- Whats ironic? The fact the the environment hasn't changes visually at all or that Crysis is from 2007 and looks 3 times better than this and this is a 2009 game?
The gun is blurred by postprocess lol deanosbeano
sparks50, fanboism right? hehe
Enad, irony right? hehe.
Wow dissapointing. The units and vehicles look nice but the environment still looks extremely shitty. Ah looks like I will have to hope for OFP2 to have awesome graphics.
For a late 2009 game, the graphics should be MUCH better. Look at Crysis, 2007....Still best graphics out of any game today.
Whatever, I still will love the game, I've just been dying for a really graphically realistic Military game forever.
