Suma informed the community on the
BI forums BIS released the new beta patch build 72588.
You can check the beta patch changes, report issues and vote tickets at the
ArmA II community issue tracker (CIT).
When downloading the patch from the official downloadsite make sure to select the correct link since also all OA beta patches are listed there!!
This patch is only for Arma 2,
not OA or CO!

Damn these patches are coming frequently. Hardly can keep up with them. ;)
Devs must be working 24/7 before the release of Operation Arrowhead.
This beta patch (71734) is useless with many mods. I've got some big battle in Utes (Iran forces vs US), using War Fx & SLX (only animations and gore) - crash after crash ;) More stable is 70951 (with better performance).
Try removing RKSL mod - I was crashing every time with this beta until I did.

Did I read these patch notes right? Is the 2GB RAM limit being lifted?

Yea.... [71543] File cache size increased a lot on systems with 4 GB RAM or more.

"ArmA 2 is not installed in computer or installation is corrupted" - delete/uninstall previous beta patch to avoid this.
Jimmy try just dragging your folder onto C and then when it installs move it back to F.

Stupid auto path installer.
I believe crashing on custom islands is now fixed.
I can confirm the crash with Isla Duala. Curiously, it does not crash with Quesh, which uses some of the same plants, I believe. Crashed with newest Beta, ran fine with Vanilla.
